I just recovered from a computer crash. I was able to rescue my BGE saved games. The files are slot1.sav - slot4.sav. I played these games using the PATCHED version. I reinstalled the game on my 'fixed' computer then copied these four .sav files to the root installation path. When I load I get a message saying there are no saves? WHat gives? Please help!

You also need the sally.idx file which is only created when you make a new save. I suggest you remove (but don't delete) the old savegames, start a new game and make five new savegames and then put the old savegames back in the folder, overwriting the new ones. That way you might be able to load them again, although that method doesn't always work.

Thanks for the suggestion Daroth....I tried what you suggested....It did not work...........I guess I will have to start all over again!!!!!!!!!!
