Hi! I have kind of a strange problem (it usually is, isn’t it?). I have recently upgraded my system. My old system was:

Pentium 4 2,4 GHz
GeForce 4600 Ti
512 MB RAM

I have upgraded with:

GeForce 6600GT
512 MB additional RAM

ForceWare drivers 91.31

The strange thing is when I played the game with my old system, the game worked fine with almost the highest settings except AA. The water effects were on full and it worked well. But with my new system, I cannot play with any water effects what so ever, even if I put everything else on lowest, without going down to about 5 – 10 FPS. This obviously cannot be right. My hardware should be able to power this game on full effects on 1280x1024 without any problem. So why, why doesn’t it work?!?!

Huh .. and i thought i would be alone with this problem .. Smile

My System:

Amd Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2500mhz
x1800 xt 256 mb
1024 mb ddr dual channel (2 x 512)

And i have no more than 5 - 10 fps like Cuberpower ... how ever i set the settings. That is not funny -.- .. what the hell is going on ...

I played it on my old pc :

Athlon xp 2400+
geforce 6800
768 mb

very well with all settings on high ...

Ah and i have the audio/video syncron problem ... i tried vsync but it doesnt helped .. Then i tried this "full processing.exe" but it doesnt helped too.

The strange thing is that i had this audio/video syncro problem on my old pc too but there the "full processing.exe" thing hleped.

i have all drivers up to date

HELP!!!

Have you tried setting your CPU back to stock speeds (I think it's 2GHz)?

Because that's the first thing you do when you have problems running a game?

I already offered help: revert to standard clock speeds.

I resolved the audio/video sync problem on my PC by unchecking "HW Vertex Processing" in the manual compatibility section of the BG&E setup utility.

Some people have to vastly lower the latencies of some of the modern video cards, as their defaults are said to be stupidly high...

I downloaded something called 'PCI Latency Tool 2' a very long time ago when I bought my 9800 Pro (I had similar performance issues). You might want to check it out.

Yeah, I should probably do the same thing or just tweak some things in my ATI Catalyst Control Center. .__. The game occasionally gets all choppy now and then during fights or just walking around ever since my upgrades.

Are there any driver settings you could try modifying just a little to maybe improve performance with your nVidia card?
