Hi, I just recently re-installed Beyond Good & Evil to my new(er) laptop.

My old laptop ran the game fine, and I'm sure I had been using my game controller on it.

Anyways, after I installed (and patched) BG&E. But I don't see any options, and I can't seem to get to use my Logitech Game Controller (it's a PS2 style model, dual analog, 12 buttons, etc).

Anyways, as I said, I'm not 100% sure I use to use this controller, but I thought I did. And if I didn't, is there any way to use it?

(speaking of which, my laptop use to be XP, but my new one has Vista on it. And my laptop is 2x as good as my old one, which ran it fine. [2ghz duo core, 2GB ram, Nvidia 6150 graphics card]. Anyways, it seems to run decent enough.)

joytokey is a small freeware program that lets you use any gamepad in any game (of for multiple other uses such as web surfing, etc.) Google it and enjoy.

Joy to Key is a good solution I used it when I used to play this game but I don't know if have a version that could work for Vista (I guess you are on Vista now)

But indeed BG&E had native support to logitech gamepads (indeed was the only supported controller brand)

If you still wanna make it work native. Try updating Direcc X 9.0c to latest veersion(since all keyborda/mouse/gamepad input are made by it) and this sometimes ghelps to this and the DX9 bundled wrapper on the DX10 of Vista it's a pile of c rapola to run games. In other others words you still have to install DX 9.0c in DX10 to make games to work. Another things you could try is download the most recent driver from for your gamepad in the logitech website

Do you have the Logitech gaming software on a disk? I used it to play BGE with my gamepad.
