I'm not sure what's causing this, it might be a random bug. Have you tried to revert to an earlier savegame?

I have not. Unfortunately, I think the only other saved game I have is from a long ways back ...

I did change my graphics card, and have the most recent drivers, but its a very new card, so I'm hoping to try it on an older computer and see if it works. I must see the end of the game!
