i changed PC's and i wanted to transfer this game to the new PC... i copied all the saved games with the sally.idx file with it... but although i can see them in the loading screen... loading brings me back to my desktop... i tried doing the following also:
1. Keep your old .sav files in a safe place, out of the BG&E folder.

2. Start a new game, play until you get to the first Mdisk console and can save. Save in all the five slots one after another.

3. Copy your old savegames back overwriting these new .savs you just made.

but that doesn't work... have any other ideas...?
