After wasting hours of my life on this forum trying to tweak the game so it runs properly, here are the best solutions that I've come across that others have suggested. Save yoursel a lot of grief and tries these first

1. If you have a higher end video card, go through your bios and set it on 64MB, considering this, at the time, was the idea card for this game. This has to do w/ latency issues.

2. If you cant do that you can download a program called "PCI Latency Tool"

3. For the sound problems, uncheck "HW Vertex Processing" The sound will still be f-up, but it's better than before.

4. If you have object dock, turn it off.

5. The video card adjustment should do the trick.
