Just for anyone who's not aware what I'm talking about: BG&E has a problem specific to slimline model PS2's where certain sounds will get "stuck" and continually repeat until you go back to main menu or reload a game (or basically whenever the game's sound engine gets reset).

I know for sure this affected the SCPH-75000 series of slimline PS2s.

There's been two slimline revisions since then (well actually 3, but 1 is Japan only for the moment) the SCPH-77000 and SCPH-79000 series.

Anyone know if these series still have the same problem?

I'm on 9000 series PS2 and I sometimes get that bug. It's not very common through, and it usually dissappears once I save, quit and reload the game.
