Hello folks,
Given that no one who has experienced problems has actually reported a potential work around I thought I would share my experience. I will give you the work arounds I used to play the game 100% without video crashes. First of all I had to lower my resolution. I am currently running at 1152x864@100hz This resolved some of the crashes, yet more would be in store for me. The remaining crashes I eliminated by going to advanced settings and adjusting the compatibility settings. The source of my problem was the enabling of 'multi vertex streams'. I disabled the feature and saved the configuration. Please note that other features may be the cause of your problem depending on your graphics hardware therefore attempt to disable each feature one by one to identify the source. Finally I noticed a lot of MX440 users complaining. My understanding is that the card does not even support DX 8.1, so do take this into account when problem solving. Mind you I do not know what the requirements of this game are. For the sake of reference I ran this work around on: - Radeon 9200 Mobility 1.7ghz Banias CPU ( Centrino notebook ) 512meg DDR 2700 RAM RealTEK Audio Hope this helps you all get gaming... Cheers |
