Thanks BiteBug. I've had the game for about two months now and haven't really played it yet. It's quite annoying! I'm almost tempted to get one of the console versions instead because it looks like a good game and I hear that they don't have the reversing x-axis problem. However, I don't think I'll be able to exchange my PC version since it is so long since I bought it.

That must be awful.

I have found a kind-of solution, if anyone is still interested.
I recently bought a Logitech Dual Action gamepad which came with a nifty little piece of software called Profiler. It allows you to map pretty much anything to the gamepad including the mouse. I then chose to invert the mouse throught the gamepad.
I know this means you can't use a mouse(and have to buy hardware), but its a console game anyway really. I just mapped the gamepad as a PS2 controller.
I hope this can help someone as this is a pretty good game that doesn't deserve to be ruined by this stupid problem.
