It installed fine but during game play little shapes and pixels flicker all over the place making it almost unplayable.
I tried the compatibility wizard with no luck.
Any suggestions? thanks

What kind of video card do you have?

Those sort of problems are more common with ATI cards from what I read in the game's readme, and from what I encountered myself on my older Radeon 9100.

I have the same problem. I just bought a Dell Vostro 1500 which has a GeForce 8600M GT 256MB and am running Vista Ultimate in 32 bit mode. I've tried newer video drivers and that did nothing.

Incidently I don't have the same issue on my desktop which the game plays flawlessly on, however that machine is running Windows XP Pro and not Vista. So my guess at this point is it's either a problem with Vista, the drivers for the card, or the fact that it doesn't run on laptops very well. Not sure yet...

same issue here. I've got an ASUS G1S laptop with an 8600GT and Vista Home 32bit and I'm getting the same results as you.

Try going into the SettingsApplication.exe program , select the advanced tab, click on the manual compatibility mode checkbox and make sure everything is selected EXCEPT HW Vertex Processing and w buffer. That fixed the problem for me while using Vista.

But i have an ATI HD4850 + drivers 9.4 on my Vista 32 bits.

Berillions, the error message is "normal", most people will get that on a modern system since the game doesn't recognize the newer drivers. The crash to desktop however shouldn't happen. Can you check your Windows Event viewer logs and see if there were any errors registered at the time the game crashed?

I re-install the game and I can play no. But i have an other problem.

I have install the patch 1.01 but the sound (when there is a dialog) is not synchronised with the sub-title and the cinématic.

I hear Jade speak while i see Pey'j on the cinematic, for exemple.
