I've just bought Beyond Good & Evil and tried to install it for several times, but every time when it gets to ask for the third CD a failure shows up with the following message:

Componenttransferfailure

Component: GameDataBeta
Filegroup: GameDataBeta
File: E:\data3.cab
Failure: Datafailure

Has anyone met this problem before, or does anyone know how to fix this?

'Do you have a CDRW or DVDRW drive? Is your antivirus/firewall running during installation?'

That doesn't make any sense. We all know perfectly well that it is not your computer to blame, but UBI SOFT. The disks are broken, faulty manufactured during the production. There is no way to repair or avoid the problem. Ubi finally admitted their error and they told us to return you copy to the shop where you bought the game. You should ask for a refund and wait (and wait and wait) for the day that Ubi replaces the faulty Dutch batch with an UK batch.

Actually CDRW's and DVDRW Drives are unsupported with most UBISoft games and BG&E actually says it's not recommended for use with a CDRW, so gnogtr has a valid point in asking.

Antivirus scanners can interfere with the installation and it's always best to disable them during install.

Well that's very nice to hear. I've tried to discover a notice on the case wich says that having a CDRW may cause any problems with this game, but it seems that there isn't any.

In game manual it says you won't need anything but a mouse, a keyboard and a pair of brains. Even in game manual there is no such thing as some kind of notice for the problems that virus scanners or CDRW's may cause.
