The first time I ran the game, I kept getting what looked like starbursts, and other weird graphic flashs that didn't look right. I dismissed these, and tried to start a new game.

In the intro video I kept getting the same flashs, and although I could see the background well, all I could see of Jade was her eyes. I checked the graphic settings and was suprised to see that I was running it at the lowest resolution.

Confused, I checked the website and found the patch. I have downloaded and installed the patch, but the flashs are still there, and now if I click start a new game, the whole thing crashs.

I have a relatively new computer:
Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
256 DDR Ram
64 MB GeForce4 MX Graphics Card
40 Gig HD

I don't know what's wrong. My friend has the same graphics card, and the game works fine for him after he patched it.

Can anyone help?

Also, I've been reading things about virtual drives. I have one. How do I get rid of it?

Ah!! I have the exact same problem (well, for the flashes.. My game shuts down immediately after I click New Game)
It's probably the Virtual Driver.. I have one too, but I can't burn the game on CDs ¬¬'

But yeah, it should be fixed by either buying the game or burning it to CDs..

Oh yeah, how to get rid of the virtual drive: Uninstall it..

Got that problem too. With the flashes the movies looks like a negative.

P4 2,4 GHz
512 DDR SDRAM
GeForce4 MX Graphics card
80 gig HD

is it the p4 or the grapichs card!
