I had the same problem and my PC was OK too. I tried something very simple: putting the resolution of the game to 800x600 and now it's fine. Hope this helped u too.

No, that don't work.
Let me post exactly what I've tried.
I've updated with the latest patch, I've tried that program that speeds up your cpu for a few seconds (no effect), I've updated my NVidia Drivers, I ran it with everything on lowest setting, I've updated windows.
I'm willing to try other stuff, plz help!

I had kind of the same problem. Try going to the advanced graphics settings and disabling HW vertex processing. That might stop it lagging so much.

My problem is that the sound is perfect for a few minutes but then all music and dialogue cuts out completely. Ubisoft Tech support have yet to come up with anything useful to try!

This solved my problem for me. If any of you are having problems, try this. Update your graphics drivers and your VIA 4 in 1 or whatever its called, and then download this program (windows based), and put it in your BG&E directory. Make a shortcut to your desktop of it, and use it to run the game, it makes everythin work great for me. The synch is STILL a little out sometimes, but only by a second. If anybody can find a better solution to what was my original problem, please post it...
