I bought this game on saturday the 25 of july and finished it in less than 2 hours. The game failed so many expectations. I thought for sure with it being on the playstation 3 it would be better than Acecombat series, and I was very disappointed. The game campaigns were short lived and the ers was truely unsatistfactory, its like playing third person just different angle. There was no landings or take offs. And most missions were disappointing also in one mission you are the only plane defending several bombers and you are just over whelmong odds. They developed a game with ers yet they put u in situtations you cant realisticly do. And you have no real control over the wingmen yeah they attack the target u are after, a least in ace combat u can send the wingmen off to attack targets of opperitunity here nothing.I think the developers need to take a look at acecombat before they make another game, yes ace combat has unrealistic things like flying into caves and tunnels but at least you can get experience and the planes in better ways and the experience points are realisticly achieved. and you can replay the campaigns over and over not just single missions. They need alot of work on this game Acecombat has them by miles right now and for a 60 dollar game they fell way short Ace combat 4 is better than this game in fact in reality this game is only as good as ace combat 2 and isnt worth 60 dollars I am very disappointed in this game.

your description of ERS = Assistance OFF

ERS is the little triangles that pop up after you press a button to "line you up for the shot" easier

and YES THIS HAS BEEN POSTED THOUSANDS OF TIMES
and WE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT IT!

so just go return it please?

kthnxbai

PS: please use paragraphs, your block of text is extremely hard to read

Zedex26;

Is this better for you. E.R.S. is not just the triangles, it is also the double tap on the R2 button.

And sorry I didnt use paragraphs. Would love to return such a poorly developed game but once opened u cant return.

Sorry you have heard this many times but again this game really stunk and Ace Combat is 10 times better and if they want to develope Hawx 2 they better get some pointers.

And Tom Clancey should be ashamed to have his name assoicated to this underdeveloped game and poor excuse for a jet fighter simulation.

Hope this meets with the approval of the english proffesor zedex26.

Wow EscoBlades,

How old are you?

This post I started is in hopes that the developers of hawx will get ideas and pointers on how to make their game better than ace combat.
Not to get stupid childish comments from people who have an I.Q. of less than 75 so stop posting here if you have nothing to say that would hopefully contribute to the developement of a better game.

Thank you.

And one more thing people.
I have read alot on this forum pages of how you all like the game. Posting pictures and talking about the planes. Yes the graphics are better i give that to the game. But all in all this game on a scale of 1 to 10 and 1 being poor the game is a .5 and needs lots of work. So leave the posting on how to develope the game better and not on the childish grade school comments.

I understand your let down with the game if you are accomplished with flyware but, are you saying you made it through all 40 levels of the game and acquired all the challenges of the game in single player, Coop, and TDM modes? To just complete each scenario the game offers once and not achieve all the challenges the game rewards the user, after just one trip through the different scenarios, seems impossible to be done in two hours,IMHO. But, then again, I'm so far over the hill that I can only look up nowadays...:-)

if you think this post would "help make HAWX 2 better than Ace Combat"... what makes you think so?

what about the hundreds of other threads that's been posted within weeks of its release?

what about the HAWX 2 thread?

what about ALL the complaints and feedbacks that this game has been getting for the past what... how long has this been released now?

what makes YOUR post all the much better?

there's the problem, we ALL think our idea can help more than the others, but truth is, it's just another complaint to the dev's eyes

what i'm saying is, don't bother

PS: Assistance modes is not ERS...
you DO NOT get ERS in assistance OFF

PPS: yes, that makes reading a lot easier.

or do you prefer everyone post 1000word essays in 1 big block of text for you to read? not trying to be picky, but if you actually WANT to make a point, which to me you seem to be wanting to... then it's easier to structure your arguments in a more easily readable manner

PPPS: we "seem" to like the game, because this is the ONLY game us PC players can get that's even close to Ace Combat... and another advantage for PC is that we can modify most aspects of the game, that being physics, skins, or even create new models... which makes it a bit more interesting...

however if EVER Ace Combat would be released on PC, i can imagine that being a bigger hit even for the modding community

I think some of you are quick to dismiss this guy just because he's posting criticism of the game. Granted, yeah, we've been through this before a million times, but he has every right to his opinion and every right to express it.

Original poster, I share many of your disappointments. In fact, MANY of us out there, both on this forum and in game, do and have. However, it IS true that this sort of post has been seen many, many times on this forum. I guess some of these guys are just sick of seeing the same thing again, but personally, I find it telling.

People, be a little more respectful of a person's opinions. He's not attacking any of you. If I have to sit through another one of M_C's endless defenses of the game, you can certainly stand a new poster's criticism of it.

Only thing I see here is a strong corellation between the number of Hawx copies sold and the number of "disappointment" threads here on the forum...

Seen it a million times.... almost once for each copy...

It was Iamkfam who used the best metaphor for Hawx I think. The one about being fed gruel and eating it because we were all starving.

Just hopefully everyone has learned from Hawx at least. The players, Ubi, Namco, and indeed all video game companies have something to learn from how the tales of Hawx are told here and elsewhere.

Let's see some more flight action games, some really good ones!

Guys one poster said there are 40 levels I understand that. But with the ps3 I have 19 or 20 missions for campaign mode once finished then all u get is the same missions over and only in single mission mode.

Most of the challanges I have done except some of the gun challanges.

So if you guys know a better way to get the experience to unlock the other planes i am open to suggestions
.

I just ask that u keep the comments about the game and not personnal attacks about the way I feel the game let all of us down. And i thenak the guys who did keep the comments on the game and not personalizing it.

Thanks go to Adnihilis,and markvm

You have to play online. I've yet to hear from someone reaching level 40 via the single player (SP) missions. It is possible, but I'm sure it takes a freaking while in SP.
