Could be something wrong with Vista's DirectX 10. Autorun the CD after the game is installed to have it check for updates while you're connected to the internet. You might also have to set your DirectX to run as 9.0c.

I run similar specs on the same OS and I don't see that issue but 2 things come to mind. 1) Your anti-virus could be scanning all of the files as they load and some AV solutions can be CPU/RAM hogs... 2) PGP has an option to securely wipe deleted files and depending on OS settings it could be PGP or other encryption SW slowing you down. It could be something else entirely but if you run similar apps it might be something to think about. Make sure drivers and patches are up to date?

Ah... sounds like your having stabability issues. How hot is your computer running? sometimes, heat can cause instability.

how to change the DricetX version ?
after showing the demo it doesnt show anything and when i open the windows task manager to see what is wrong, hawx has "not responding" status
You can set your AV app to exclude your HAWX directory, that might help. It might not help either. I don't have issues with my AV while playing. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X\Support\GameUpdater\GU_DX10\gu.exe" is how I run HAWX in dx10, if that helps... While looking in the Task Manager and while HAWX isn't responding, can you see which processes are using the most CPU?
