That's the main reason that I do still play Hawx, because it's the only jet game. Though I am pretty sure that if I did not play around with all the tricks and stunts for the past few months, I'd have completely given up ages ago.

For me, its RPG, Flight Action, Racing; that's about all I play. I don't even play racing games anymore, minus Burnout series, because they are all the same.

One flight action game and very few JRPGs on the PS3. Since day one, I still haven't gotten the $1000 or so worth of fun out of it that I paid for it.

Here's hoping FF13 and FFV13 are gonna be as good as they making them appear to be able to be.

I have a feeling Versus XIII is not going to be too great. I'm a fan of Nomura's character design but when it comes to him telling and laying out a story... no thank you.

It does seem to have potential though. The world and feeling of scenes in the trailers they've shown so far make it look pretty cool. I'm not sure about the game itself though.

FFv13, I've read, will be a similar engine to the Kingdom Hearts games. I played the first one, it was pretty gay. The main charater is way too floaty. As long as they make the main dude a badass, as they appear to be doing, FFv13 could be a really amazing game like no others so far...or another big disappointment.

I've always wanted to play a 3D Secret of Mana or early Zelda style game that didn't suck, and still kept depth of true JRPGs, we'll see.

Don't get me wrong, it has potential. But it will wreck if Nomura doesn't tell the story well. Dirge was awful and I don't want to see VXIII head that direction since they say it will be a mixture of that gameplay and AC. If they can pull that off an an admirable fashion, well done but doubtful. Pretty skeptical on this one...

I never really got into any of the FF7 spin off, I think the game is extremely over rated. For me, FF6 is the best of the series so far. An update to that would be something I'd like to see.

I really haven't seen anything great as far as story or characters for half a decade or so, so I'm not really expecting too much from anything, but a nice surprise would be...well nice.

Heh see I'm one of those VII fans because it's what got me back into playing games. Long story short, it saved me. Razz I really like VI as well and would love to see a remake of both.

I don't do anime nor Japanese RPGs. So, Final Fantasy is out of the question for me. I'm looking forward to BioWare's Dragon Age. It should be pretty gory and have a grey morality, rather than the usual black & white, fake "oh, we're good for good's sake"/"we're just evil...just because" crap.

I still don't have many video games. I guess I have commitment issues.... heh

@Adnihilis: That's a problem I have with some games as well but I tend to just ignore it as much as possible. Sometimes it just doesn't make sense why the bad guys want to cover to world in evil.

Adnihilis, don't feel bad. I do not have a lot of video games either. Most of that is due to a like of specific types of games and not flavor of the month type games. I prefer games with some sort of substance over flash. I think all told, after gaming on the PC for the last 9 years, I only have 40 games give or take.

If you find that there are only certain games you enjoy, don't sweat it, same goes with movies or TV shows. Enjoy what you like and don't give a darn about what others think.

The bigger problem I get is why the heros wanna be heros?

In Chrono Trigger, one of the best games of all time, most of the party was just bored and had nothing better to do than save the world...so why not.

In FF12, the main character, just along for the ride. He has no tie in to the story at all. His brother got killed, as a soldier, in a war. Well, soldiers do get killed, most brothers don't gather a group of 6 friends and take on the entire empire for it. Again, he had nothing better to do.

Then there is Xenogears, every single character has a unique goal, and all of their actions work them towards it. That is one of the only JRPGs where nothing just happens, and nobody tried to destroy/save the world merely out of boredom.
