completed this challenge yesterday via free flight but when I left the stage it didnt show the ranking screen to see if i got any experience boost out of it. The game has the challenged counted as completed but that screen never popped up, so I'm not sure if I got it or not. Does it count if I do it in Free Flight mode?

Thanks

Yeah, as far as I know, it should have counted. I tend to push the continue button so fast out of habit that I don't notice if the experience screen even came up or not.

Really though, you need to get 1.4 freaken million experience points to have all the planes and everything, so the couple of thousand or so that you may have lost even if it did glitch and not give you exp isn't enough to be concerned over, unless this starts to be a repeated problem.

You can just go to the records section and check if you received the award.

I did that with the flying in off mode for an hour challenge. I have forgotten the name of it...

My PS3 isn't behaving, so luckily my not being in a recession has allowed me to temporarily acquire another one. So off to grinding I've been going.

The answer is yes. When I did the Vertigo challenge in free flight, I noticed I had gained a level, even though it did not show it. So yes, experience is still awarded, even if not shown.

You can do it in ghost rider using the F18 or any other water based map. Best to use a slow flying plane without high angle of attack. If on a PC I find it easier to use the up and down arrow keys to have fine control of elevation (my joystick is old).

As jerethdalion stated

1. fly down to about 100-200 in the middle of the open area and flip over

2. throttle all the way back

3. hold down left rudder or right rudder to keep you going in a circle so you don't fly off the map

4. slowly nudge down using single taps (tap and release, don't hold it down) on the down arrow key until you are down to 30. Watch the rate of change when you start slowly getting to 20, nudge back up tapping up arrow, when you get between 30 and 40, tap on down arrow. If you can get it level at 25 without having to adjust up and down, then you are golden.

Well, I never knew that Ghost Rider is water based map... I know that there is a river in the middle of the map but water based... I think you`re mistaken friend Smile

Fine I'll fix my grammar

You can complete the challenge on Ghost Rider (no it is not a water based map). This is how I completed the challenge. I did it the hard way avoiding buildings.

You can complete the challenge on any water based map. This is how others have figured out less challenging ways to complete the challenge.

Hope you are now satisfied with the grammar correction.
