Currently we have not announced exactly what planes will be available in HAWX but with the count at 50, you can expect a good variety of planes to play with.
Add to that the 4 player drop in and out co-op play, online play for 16 players, outfitting different weapons for your craft, HAWX is sure to fit very well into gamers hands. Not long now and you will start to get more detailed information on the game. |

If they are going to have 50 planes, they will have Russian models. And almost guaranteed will be the Su-47, and maybe the Su-35, with, if they follow ace combat a bit, a chance for a Su-37.

While looking at the Su-47, try looking at the PAK FA T-50 also. I have read that it has a lot of similarities to the Su-47 Berkut, accept it does not have the forward swept-wing design. It is designed to compete with the F-22 Raptor, due to it being a fifth-generation fighter. So, if you are flying an F-35 JSF Lightning II or an F-22 Raptor, you might come up for a good challenge.

I think that custom decals would be hard to implement unless they were pretty generic, but it would be pretty cool if you were able to customize your paint scheme. I would like to see the plane broken down into 3 or 4 sections that could be painted with different colors. Maybe the wings, the rudders, the top of the fuselage and the bottom of the fuselage.

It would be great to fly Su-37 Terminator and Su-47 Berkut.
nice pictures of SU-50 but too bad we don't know how it realy looks like. Top secret information. All I know and can say is that it should be a little bit smaller than Su-27, will probably also have plasma-stealth generators and be a lot more maneuverable than F-22. F-22 isn't very maneuverable because of it's shape and that's what our Russian scientings are trying to do with PAK_FA - make it stealthy and very maneuverable Red Star Alliance - Victory by any demands to Mother Russia! |

I don't see why they wouldn't include the MiG MFI or the 31.

Custom logos sound cool. But I agree with silentstriderm that it would be hard to add them to the game.

I think we should expect the Su-37 Terminator, Su-47 Berkut, Su-35.

Wait not very maneuverable? Just look at that first design, it's exactly like the F22 Raptor. Can't you see the wings and the rear fins? http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/fighter/f22/f22_schem_01.jpg Die if you can't fly. |

F-22 lacks maneuverability due to it's stealth shape. SU-30 ismuch more maneuverable than Raptor Red Star Alliance - Victory by any demands to Mother Russia! |

The first design is nothing like the F-22 (especially as I've seen the original concept art its based on). The F-22 is essentially a very refined development of F-15 avionics. It is very efficient in accelerating and has excellent control in pitch (due to the thrust vectoring).
It isn't really designed to sustain manoeuvres, just be able to get the enemy in its sights twice and then accelerate away. The Sukhoi drawing leaked from Saturn shows essentially a blended delta with a balanced vertical cross-section (to aid stability at high AoA) and the minimum surface area in order to increase efficience(even reducing tail size and using thrust vectoring instead). In fact the control surfaces are probably primarily a backup system. Both designs favour stealth and speed, but the Russian design has a more thrust vectored approach to flight control and is also optimised for air-to-ground work. |
