Ok, for some reason, I am stuck on mission 13, and it's driving me insane!

try flying a Rafale M or a Gripen C with the Air Domination III loadout. you'll get decent acceleration and excellent handling for rapid vectoring.

I have those planes unlocked? I will have to try them. Personally, I can't wait to unlock the X-29. I want to try that one out on a few missions.
Thank you for the suggestion. If I ever get my butt offline so I can play, I shall work on passing 13. "At times, the Tree of Liberty must be watered by the blood of Patriots."Thomas Jefferson |

I would suggest the F-15C with Multi-AA and Radar Guided Missiles. You can watch this video to get some hints, if you want.

i only like to use radar guided missiles for concealed ground targets and long range interception of 1-2 targets. with as many aircraft as he'll be fighting in that tokyo mission i dont see the radar missiles being a benefit. he needs weapons that wont require handholding, like the AIM-9x(all-aspect) and lots of those aim-7's and wtfever the multi-target AA missiles are supposed to be(haha, i have no chance of guessing their real-life counterpart and i'm too busy multitasking to google) --- --- --- --- "...for in such dangerous things as War, the errors proceeding from a sense of benevolence are the worst."-Carl Phillip Von Clausewitz, Vom Kriege |

I shall have to try that F-15C also. I never thought about the idea that what they say is the best plane for the mission, and what actually IS the best plane might actually be two seperate things.

Radar guided are useful against bombers and ships on that mission. There's no need for AAM, JSM is more than enough for those F-14. Multi-AA can be used against some bombers, helicopters or planes in groups. In fact, I never use AAM in any missions. -- H.A.W.X. - Plane Finder (Ubisoft's mirror) Find a plane with the features and weapon packs you want. |

I like the Su32 Fn and Su34 Fullback using the
Joint Strike, Free Fall Bomb, Radar Guided Loadout for Typhoon and most of the missions In normal and hard, you get 160 JS, 20 FFB, and 70 RG and in Elite you get 88 JS, 11 FFB and 39 RG. I can take out a lot of things from a distance using the RG, including the carrier without worrying about getting in SAM range. MTAAs don't always hit home. When things get close, double firing JS at them gets the job done. Plus, I get the bombs to hit any ground or naval target -- even tanks hidden behind buildings get walloped with a free fall bomb. |

I think you swap the number of FFB and RGM. 39 on elite sounds wrong while 11 on elite sounds good.

The numbers are right. If you want the planes with the most RG in campaign, then you're looking at either an Su32 or Su34 both which have 70 max on normal/hard and 39 max on Elite. F15C only gives you 35 on normal/hard and 20 on elite.
Now if you're talking TDM, the loadouts on every plane are lower than on the campaign and the numbers vary depening upon whether the TDM is play in normal or realistic loadout In TDM normal loadout, Su32 20 FFB, 7 RG Su34 20 FFB, 7 RG F15C 14 RG I actually wasted the time to put all the loadouts on campaign normal/hard (same numbers), elite, and TDM normal as well as special features of each plane on independent index cards so I could sort them out to figure out which plane had the most RG AA MTAA Rocket Pod MTAA AA MTAA RG RG AA combos in order to figure out which plane and loadout would be best under particular situations. The Plane Finder program doesn't indicate the number of weapons in the loadout. How much you have is as important as what you are carrying in terms of determining a strategy for winning or scoring points under any given situations (i.e. if you are racing for kills amongst others, I can get off an RG kill and then an MTAA kill before someone with MTAA or AA only can even get close ... or even try coop in Glass Hammer, Red Eagle, Typhoon (I can finish off the carrier with RGs and get the 100 XP before someone else can using JS, Bombs, or MTAG), Iron Arrow) |

Well congrats, you found another bug with the weapon_pack or default_plane file! In campaign mode, it should be 20 RGM and 70 FFB. They somehow misplaced the FFB and RGM on those two planes. (They should be switched according to the weapon pack icon, TDM values and pure logic.) -- H.A.W.X. - Plane Finder (Ubisoft's mirror) Find a plane with the features and weapon packs you want. |

Pure logic =\= hawx.
