In real life, my favorite jet is the F-15E Strike Eagle. I'm a bit biased having been assigned to the 90th Fighter squadron from 1992-1996.

My least favorite jet on this game is the F-15E Strike Eagle. Tom Clancy and/or Ubisoft completely misrepresented the elite dual role fighter / bomber.

1.) All E-Model F-15's are TWO seaters!!!
The rear seat is for the Weapons Systems Officer (WSO).

2.) Where are the conformal fuel tanks?!?
Although they can be flown "clean" (with the tanks removed), this is extremely rare and never during missions. The stronger engines require more fuel. Without conformal tanks the F-15E's flight duration would be quite short. That leads me to the next problem....

3.) The E-model is faster than the A's and C's. it has 2 stronger engines with only a slight increase in weight when flown air-to-air.

4.) By leaving off the conformal fuel tanks they also left off the numerous weapons mounts (hard points). The F-15E can carry a much larger supply of missiles and bombs than this game gives it credit for.

5.) Where are the pods?

6.) No Electronic Warfare Capabilities?

It's cool that the PS3 finally has an Air Force game. But the complete disregard for realism is quite dissappointing. Mad

it never happened. nowhere does it say such a large number of RN ships were sunk in a modern operation. the only known campaign where skyhawks met Harriers was the falklands in which only 6 harriers were lost... all to ground fire as apposed to 35 Argentinian losses... at least 25 confimed to be sky hawks

and on that note my favorite in game fighter is the XA-20... real life... its a tad old but i've always liked the Israeli IAI Kfir C7

And these harriers were all shot down by A4-SKYHAWKS were they?

p.s you said 30 harriers were destroyed, 8+6 = 14 not 30.

varified on several other websites. however... 7 ships were sunk by Argentinian forces, 4 by sky hawks the the rest by land based missiles of the french super Etendart. mistake on my behalf... i though only 4 were lost.

quote from http://www.naval-history.net/F63braircraftlost.htm "Starting with just 20 Sea Harriers, a further eight joined the Task Force by mid-May. A total of six were lost by accident or ground fire, and not one in air-to-air combat"

but still... why did you read so many harrier were shot down? could you provide the site your data was from?

to be frank, that's about as believable as Britain nuked the 'Falklands' something that piece of propaganda claims the UK was willing to do- false.... its claimed by the french PM that thatcher actually threatened France into giving her the codes for the Exocet missiles not threatened to nuke the islands or Argentina.

the HMS sir Tristan was damaged and returned to port NOT destroyed as it claims. total ships lost 7- fact proved on several sites

30 Chinese marines killed by heavy shelling? where the hell did that come from? the only chinese killed in the Falklands were 8 Hongkong/Chinese crew men aboard the various ships or in the ground forces. with the way its written it sounds more like chinese involvement

and finally his accusation that British government would hide the real cost of the war, even to speculate that soldiers bodies were thrown over board to hide the fact. is damn right insulting. unless you can find offical sites with these 'facts' on. this source is little more than propaganda conspiricy story made by an Argentinian patriot

but bringing this back into the aviation site. even on this source no where does it say a Argentinian Skyhawk ever shot down a Harrier or SeaHarrier. it confirms that they were lost to ground fire or mechanical failures
