 I remember the first HAWX screenshots of F-16. Beautiful. And why are the latest screenshosts and gameplay video all covered in some ugly blue blur and what's with sega or nintendo-style alert sounds "pi pi piu-u-u-u"  Check Ace Combat...alert sound should make you evade not make you wonna die just not to hear those sounds.And FFS...afterburners are hell ugly.  Damn guys...Game looked better on first screens...right now it look even wurve than Ace COmbat 04. And it was released in 2001!   Red Star Alliance - Victory by any demands to Mother Russia! |

OMG, I got around to watching the videos, what plane says warning. I haver never heard a plane say warning in my entire life until now. and the missiles need to be more effective and less of them. the evasion seemed a little too easy ala AC6. I also could not stand that whoop-whoop sound the plane kept making, what does that even mean?

Perhaps you forget the scale of AC6. Do you honestly think you'd have a chance against entire Air Wings and Ground Divsions with realistic tracking?  Plus, you claim to be a Eagle Driver, you've heard *****in Betty plenty of times by now telling you "Caution", "Over-G", "Fire" among other things.  |

yes, but never warning... I have to admit, it does get pretty annoying when flying low to the ground or near obstacles though... The most annoying thing of all are the stall warnings, especially when you start spinning. Plus, I don't want to be fighting entire air wings by myself. that is not air combat, that is just poor planning on the commanders part.

Am I the only one who think this game is gonna rock? I mean the graphics are awesome it looks 100x better than Ace Combat 5. I hope it has realism like red and black outs.......
I could care less about having a cockpit and a thirdperson view.... I mean look at the Ace Combats they had both veiws and you didn't have to use them. I think this game is gonna rock. I hope it works awesome with my Saitek X52 pro when i buy it.... AC5 says Warning it also says pull up.... thats what REAL jets do..... also i see to blur... did you ever think that they are flying in clouds??? |

no jets ever say 'warning" maybe caution, pull up, over g, and whining sounds when you lose airspeed and exceed AoA, but thats about it.

the afterburners in hawx look better... I still wish that the missiles didn't have such poor tracking, and that they didn't look like fireballs with tails of smoke 5 miles long. I mean, seriously, what modern air combat looks like swirling smoke everywhere. Most modern missiles do not even produce a lot of smoke.

who cares about graphics that much in a flight sim anyways. I think a game like LO-MAC and even Falcon 4.0 have fine graphics, and nothing more is needed. As long as the mechanics are right, too much graphics only serve to kill the fps. it is really sad that people these days think that good graphics is more important than a good game. Just remember, that the better the graphics, the worse the game mechanics, because more power is needed for graphics processing. So cutting edge graphics + ultra realistic flight sim = LAGGY! That is the reason many games like HAWX turn out to be so bad, it's because whining kids seem to forget that a game isn't all about graphics. if you want graphics, I suggest you go play Crysis, if you can't run that, I suggest you be quiet because you obviously can't even play what you want them to make.

Graphics doesn't make a game good, but it CAN make a game bad. Also, graphics aren't what's gonna make this game horrible. And it's not because it's not gonna be an ULTRA-REALISTIC FLIGHT SIM that you want oh-so badly either. |

you are right, graphics don't make a game good, and it is not going to be ultra realistic. I just wish that it is more realistic at realease than it is now. I already have many realistic flight sims in fall 08 such as fighter ops and DCS. Basically, you need to go play Lomac and Falcon 4. It should be very obvious that Hawk X is not going to be a Study sim, or even a realisitic Survey Sim. Hawk X is a modern jet combat GAME. It's not and never will be a Realistic Simulation. That much should be clear from all the previews etc. It is a Game like Ace Combat 6. It is not like LOMAC, or Falcon 4.
