Complete manual how to play HAWX online + possible issues solution

What will you need?
- The game Smile
- Hamachi version 1.0.0.43 -> available in our MISC/Downloads section at www.hawxfclub.co.nr
- People to play with -> our website and networks are growing fast.

FOLLOW THE STEPS:

1) if u are already using hamachi uninstall it because the actual version doesnt work!
2) download hamachi from our download section (only for registered users - for security reasons).
3) install, power on, set up your account.
4) join only one of these networks:

hawxfclub.co.nr_1
hawxfclub.co.nr_2
hawxfclub.co.nr_3
hawxfclub.co.nr_4

password to all networks is: free

5) start the game and if some server is running, you will see it in Versus/LAN.

IMPORTANT:
If you join more than one network you will be kicked from the others. Only administrators and servermakers (see bellow) are allowed to be in several networks. We want to keep order in networks.

Administrators have turned off messaging in hamachi. We advise you to do it so too. For communication use Website forum, XFire or TeamSpeak.

TeamSpeak and XFire can be downloaded in our download section.

WHAT PROBLEMS MIGHT OCCURE:

1) Runing old hamachi in Windows Vista:
If you are using Windows Vista you will most probably encounter an error message when starting this version of Hamachi. You need to click the right mouse button on the Hamachi shortcut -> Go to Properties -> Compatibility -> check the box in the Compatibility mode and select Windows XP(SP2)-> Click Apply and voila you can now run the Hamachi.

2) Network adapter failed at hamachi start:
Run again hamachi installation. Its not a regular setup, just some update window. When its finished you still have the same old version and everything is ok.

3) Your server doesnt appear on the Versus/LAN list:

Reason1: You use actual or newer version of hamachi
Solution1: Learn to read and read this manual again Smile

Reason2: You use router for internet connection
Solution2: First of all you will need to forward ports for the server. Open Hamachi -> Go to Preferences... -> System. On the bottom of the System window you will see a checkbox called 'Magic option' (Hamachi v 1.0.0.43). It is the port that Hamachi will use for your server. Check it and type there 1800. After that you will need to go to your Control Panel -> Network Connections(in Windows Vista, go to Network and Sharing Center -> Manage network connections). Right-click on the item titled Hamachi then select Properties from the menu. In the window that will appear you will see a list of services and protocols. Select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) (in Windows Vista it will be called Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)..) and click on the Properties button. At the bottom of the following window, click the Advanced... button and you will see the Advanced TCP/IP Settings window. In the IP Settings tab, find the Automatic metric checkbox and uncheck it.Type 10 in the text box and click ok. After that done you will need to go to your router settings and forward the 1800 port (If you are not familiar with portforwarding in your router I advise you to go to www.portforward.com and find a manual on how to do that for your model of router). After everything is done you can now restart your Hamachi and host your own H.A.W.X. server.

4) Connection Fails:
This mostly occure when the hoster has a slow internet connection (upload). By testing we found out that one player on server takes 16KB/s at average, which is really much. So that means if your upload is:
256Kbps -> 32KB/s you can host only for you + 1player. <- Tested - Confirmed. When we had hoster and 2 other players at this connection, those 2players kept loosing their connection really often.
512Kbps -> 64KB/s - our advise: hoster + 2players
768Kbps -> 96KB/s we tested this connection too and we had hoster + 4player and the game was runing good with no lag and no connection lost.
We hope you got the picture about connections.

These are all the issues we met and solved in HAWX Versus/lan and online playing. If you have some more, they might be individual or just pray for early patch. But you are always welcome to look for help in our HAWX forum at www.hawxfclub.co.nr

We want to thank triptex_MTL from the Ubisoft H.A.W.X. forums for giving us a hint about that Magic option of Hamachi in Problem 3 - Solution 2

LAST HINT: We are looking for more servermakers. People with solid PCs and good internet connection please leave us a note here, website or best way is XFire (xfire1: norick98 xfire2: semcomp).
If you are the hoster, please let us admins know about it asap, otherwise you might be kiced from all networks except one.

PS: More hamachi networks coming soon, we just need to make it clear and create a structure.

Hamachi is a pain, it wasn't meant for gaming. Try Tunngle instead. You can search for it in the forums by using google. "tunngle site:http://forums.ubi.com/eve/", that's your search query.

Really Tunngle is soooooooooooo much easier...All the people who want to play the same game on the same lobby,so you can see them all and all the servers they create at once. And it works as opposed to the online play, which ALWAYS crashes for me.

I just don't like Hamachi because it screws up my internet preventing me from doing anything else.

And I'm also annoyed by having to change the network settings every time.

yeah pretty much none of that applies to my post
I was only trying to state my concern towards this developement and was voicing it cause thusfar this game doesn't seem to have a brain behind it and I doubted anyone even thought of that while they were wondering how long to delay fixing the online mode
