Okay, so my mother is a F-15E Strike Eagle Crew Chief. That means she performs all the mechanical repairs on that particular aircraft.

Ranging from the Electronic systems to the Hydralic system. From the Enigines to the Life Support systems.

I noticed as I glanced over the aircraft kinda ahh-ing and oww-ing at the marvels you get to fly. But the one plane I've taken much pride in is missing the WIZO chair.

That frustrated me to a point. This aircraft means a lot to me. To see the WIZO chair missing, it just makes me wonder how the piolt drops his bombs!

Just something I thought the nice Devolpers to know.... F-15E's need that backseat lol Veryhappy

This is where I say something inspirational to help you through the criticism...but I bet you all must be used to the boobish attacks.

WIZO Seat! Metal

Hawx is a single person flyer game. When in cockpit only mode you don't even know the Wizo chair is missing. I suspect that to make the modeling easier, it was simpler for the designer to just use the F15C images. After all, there sure are a lot of F18 and F16 renamed variants in the game. How many of these does one really need ... they should've just kept adding loadouts to one model.

no, they should have been accurate. Or not give us 5 f-18s, and three of every other jet in the game.

this game is not known for details...

it's more known for 50 variants of 10 aircrafts... which are EXACTLY the same... with different skins and weapon loadouts... wait even the skins look alike

I just don't see where the aesthetic bugs matter one bit. The planes still fly the same, whether or not there's a specific seat. It's a game not a training simulator, it really doesn't need to be 100% accurate and it's OK for developers to take some artistic license, imo.

To quote a recent Sonic (not the hedgehog) commercial:
"On one hand it doesn't matter and on the other hand it really doesn't matter...at all."

It matters because the aviation community takes pride in itself. When you have a connection to an airplane (car or insert anything else), you don't want it to be jacked up.

As I said, it's a game not a training simulator nor even a scale model, 100% accuracy just isn't that important, imo.

Well, to this aviation enthusiast, the details, no matter how small, are important.

It becomes even more frustrating when a player has been spoiled by the aircraft models in Ace Combat (NOT a simulator)..

You don't think that is making a mountain out of a molehill?

This isn't AC...

I don't think he is, don't you remember the old aircraft attention to detail thread and the official aircraft modelling flaws thread those were about 10 pages long each of people naming and shaming the various modelling faults so obviously it does matter to people.

This is a very old thread, as in, we've all discussed this to annoying lengths. Yes, this is a game, but so many other games have gotten this part "right" that it makes little sense for HAWX not to. After all, why play a game about jets if you don't care that the jets aren't displayed accurately? Then you don't care about the jets, do you? Why not just go and play something like WarHawk, for example, instead? I originally came to this game becuase the jets themselves drew me in. That goes for the core of this subgenre's fanbase. It's a niche title because it primarily appeals to jet aficionados.

HAWX is the poor man's jet game. It's shiny, but it's not even got the graphics down pat, considering all the inaccuracies.

10 pages of the same 10 people going on and on about things that don't really affect the game doesn't really say much. Clearly it does matter to some people but it's still making a mountain out of a molehill, imo...

So, to sum up, according to your own post, "10 people" say it matters while only 1 person says it doesn't.

So far....

I agree, they need to add the WSO seat...as well as the conformal tanks, nav pod, targeting pod, hard points, etc....

I was an avionics specialist in the 90th FS back when they had E models. No offense to your mother, but she doesn't do all that maintenance that you listed. Crew Chiefs service fliud levels and prep the aircraft. They will 'assist' with some mechanical stuff.......like lifting/pushing.

Aircraft Maintence Units are comprised of several departments such as Specialist Flight (A,B, & C shop avionics; ECS / Electrics), Life Support, Egress, Propulsion (engine shop), A/R, Fuel shop, sheet metal, etc, etc.

Yeah your mom is a great woman with an important job....
But let's not give her all the credit now. Besides, women have it much easier than men in the military.

It's all relative, we all have to put up with the same hardships and restrictions no matter what the billet.
