Need a bit of help. Assuming I have a fresh model I want to import, similar to EDI, do I have to designate thruster position, ailerons, or anything of the sort? Or can I just drag and drop? My theoretical model won't need ailerons, flaps, thrust vectoring, or missile mounts. Just wanted to know if a fresh .dat would suffice? Also need a reupload. Thanks all O.o

not sure how making a completely new .dat for the game would work, every thing i've done for it has replaced an exsisting .dat file, since the exsisting files contain the coords for the control surfaces and exahsut locations, the tool lotsbiss made simply merges the new aircraft model with the original one, replacing the model only, leaving all other data in .dat as it was when it contained the original hawx aircraft. to make a completely new .dat file you'd need to put all that information in yourself. My EDI model replaced the Eurofighter at first, but for the glass canopy i had to change it to replace the Su-27. Kaisa226 is good with the "changing new model files that over write existing hawx models into seperate aircaft for the game" stuff.

I'm just meeting a new trouble... All's fine (open the .dat file, then inizialise and Save As obj) until I try to get in 3DS.
Meshes are totally screwed up. Does the same in ms3d...
Trying to open Rafale_M.dat from Data2.pak Am I doing it wrong ?

Making your jet look like a Gundam is some freaken talent. You definitely know what you're doing with the programming side of things.
Do you have any videos of the Gundam flying around? Anything else you've modeled your jet into?
