On February 19th at 2pm a select lucky few will be among the first to get their hands on a near final build of Tom Clancy’s HAWX. In addition to trying the game on Xbox360 and Playstation 3 they will also have the opportunity to play the game on a top-end PC with triple monitors, IR Track head-tracking hardware and a Thrustmaster Cougar hands-on throttle and stick (stop drawling)

Sounds pretty hot doesn’t it??

Well I’m very excited to tell you that we’ve been given the opportunity to invite two of our very own forum members to come along for the event

Now before I explain how you can be in with a chance to attend here’s what you need to know first.........

You must be free to attend on the day Thursday 19th February (we really don’t want someone to miss out because someone won a place and then couldn’t make it)

You must be able to travel to Chertsey, Surrey, UK at your own arrangement and cost

Ok so that’s that bit out of the way.....

All correct entries received before the deadline to enter will be placed into a hat and two winners selected at random to attend on the day. The winners will be notified before end of business that same day.

Entry Deadline: Midday Thursday 12th February 2009 (GMT)

In the unlikely event one of the winners is then unable to attend we will draw another name from the hat of correct entries.

*To send a PT right click the users name next to their post, a small menu will open including the option to send a private message. Click this menu option and a window will open to type your PT
Important note: when sending the private message it is essential you do not delete the message from your account until at least after the competition has closed and winners confirmed. When deleting a message from your account as the creator the message will also be removed from my account and as such removes your entry.

I suspect each local office will be organising something although I dont know what or when, no doubt they will let you all know either here or on the portal though so just keep an eye out

and for some of the guys @ IL2 who may not know what HAWX is.. H.A.W.X.

It is interesting how with the advent of thrust vectoring technology in reality what would have been considered an arcade sim 8 years ago.. when IL2 was released is now reflective of S.O.T.A. technology.... How good it is of course will be in the flying.. but it looks interesting....... Thanks for the heads up Lisa.. I had never even heard of this until you posted that link...
