I say B, but that could be because I have blue eyes....maybe B's hair with C's green eyes....ok final vote is B.

The wood finish is fantastic, the facial features are great, the attention to detail is astonishing, the hair coloring is amazing, the whole rife is unbeleivable, the background is damn pretty, and the whole art work together is pure genious.

The best i've seen from you? Oh hell yeah.

I can't beleive how amazing this looks. If someone told me this was a screenshot from a upcoming movie i would beleive them. Truley amazing Melonie. God damn it's great.

Also, I like the nickname bullet better than bullseye. I would have gone with "Scope" but its your character ha ha Smile Truley amazing Melonie

OMG I love you!!!! In Love Heart Glomp

Wow, that was a really nice detailed response you gave, and it really means a lot to me. I spent a lot of time on it, and after looking at it for so long, I see all kinds of things I don't like and think too hard about it, which makes me discouraged.

Your response has been so uplifting, it really means a lot to me, and I am so very excited! I've got one more character concept to go, then I'll work straight into the actual comic itself, I am stoked!!! Googly Big Grin

BTW, I also appreciate that you mentioned the wood finish, I am very excited with how that came out. I was originally going to make it a steel finish, because I was scared to make it wood in fear that it wouldn't turn out, but then I told myself that I need to have challenges, and turns out, it wasn't near as difficult as I thought it would be. I didn't have to use any special brushes or patterns, just a hair, round brush in photoshop, and it turned out just fine. Which goes to show, technique is much more important than tools. Smile

im glad i did Smile

but the rifle is what really impressed me. The wood finish is absolutely amazing to me. That is the first thing i looked at when i noticed it was a Draganov and you absolutely nailed it. You seriously couldn't have done it any better, no one could. Im very picky with art, i look at everything and if i dont like it, or something looks weird i will say something (i have done it for atleast every one of your art pieces)

but there is not one thing i can say is even remotley bad about this piece. I mean, it reminds me of a "watchmen" movie poster or something. You outdid yourself this time Melonie. Again, that rifle is way too beutiful!

I like it. The background is appropriate, the hair is good, I love the wood finish. And the scope? Damn, that thing is sexy. The texturing in the middle of the rifle is great, too. The only thing I can find to criticize is the barrel. Towards the end it looks warped, like it's been squeezed in a vice. Or maybe Micah grabbed it by the barrel one too many times Shady

Amazing as always, Melonie. Thumbs Up How are you planning on releasing the comic? One page at a time, a few at a time, an issue at a time?

Thank you. Big Grin

I'm going to make it a web comic at first, and if it is popular enough, then I'll sell it in print. I'm going to start off with a base of about 8-10 pages, and after that, I will release a new page every week. Depends on how long it takes me to do each page. Ideally, I'd like to release 2 pages a week, but being as I have a full time job, I don't think time will permit that. :/

Cool, I'm definitely looking forward to it. Big Grin Don't kill yourself working on it too hard though. Wink2

I'm workin' on it, it's hard to make it to that point other than doing cheap commissions for people, which is boring. Too Happy

*sigh* Got a lot of work ahead of me, but when I give myself deadlines, I get all stressed out since I don't have as much free time as I'd like. So I'm trying to take things one step at a time. I want to get this comic going asap, and I'm very excited, but I'm trying not to rush myself so I can maintain the little bit of sanity I have. Razz

I know how you feel, when I started on my book, I was so excited I thought I'd have a seizure. The GOOD kind...
Try not to be too hard on your work though. I think Part 1 of my book is utter **** but my girlfriend Jazmin thinks I'm crazy for this.

An upcoming novel by me.
Thanks Melonie for the sig!

Yeah, I think we tend to overly criticize our work. I see all kinds of flaws in my drawings, it drives me insane if I think about it too much, but that's why I try to just be happy with it, flaws and all.

No one produces perfect work. All we can do is improve, and if we're too hard on ourselves, we won't improve as much. Some of my worst work I've ever done was out of frustration because I didn't think I was good enough. Encouragement is key.

Oooooooo so excited for this new character. Is it a boy, girl, or some bizarre combination of the two that none of us have seen since Hedwig and the Angry Itch? Veryhappy

It's a tranny, man turned into woman. Winky

lol jk. Razz

Let's just say this character is going to seem different than the other two. Even though the other two are different in their own way, this character is going to seem more different, hard to explain. Not like, "OMG WHAT IS IT!!!" different, but still different anyway. Big Grin

Wow....a transgendered agent would be awesome. It could play both sexes in different missions and actually get away with it. But I'm thinking way too hard on this....

OMG, I've got a gig! A real gig! Sort of...

I work with a guy that is leaving for California in the fall to work for Nickelodeon on his very own cartoon. The guy is unbelievably talented, I feel like a noob compared to him.

Anyway, he came to work on his day off, today, and asked me to meet him in the break room after I clocked out. I found it kind of weird, but I did, then he showed me a lot of his drawings and character concepts for his cartoon. They looked like they came straight from Marvel, absolutely brilliant pencil work!

Long story short, he asked me to color his characters before he submits them to Nickelodeon. A lot of my coworkers look at my art, and apparently someone told him, and he said he was highly impressed by my coloring skills, and is going to pay me $50 per character, with a total of 5 characters. That's pretty awesome. Big Grin He also said that when he shows his work, he's going to put in a word for me. So wowowowwowOWowoWoWowow.

I'm so excited. It may not be the big break I needed, but it's a huge step in the right direction. In Love

@kenny. omg, my joke about the tranny sounded retarded at first, but now you're tempting me to actually do it. Too Happy
