OMG, that's awful. What happened?

Conveyor chain at a car wash caught the tips and crushed them. I can say for a fact that we guys are stupid. We tend to do stupid stuff during the course of our lives.

The good thing is my fingers are still usable. The fact I am missing the fingernail on one of my fingers is a plus, it doesn't scratch.

Wow....that's looking at the glass half full.

I've seen some horrific sports injuries over the years. Ever seen any of the many soccer and football players that break their leg at the shin....so their foot is dangling?

i was 9 when i broke my back. i was running after a friend ( group of us playing duck duck goose ). when i slipped and fell ( with out bending my knees ). got stitches that go from my right shoulder blade to around my right breast,my right hip ( still part of the back surgery ) and on my left wrist where the IV was... had a cast that went from my neck to my hip on for a long time.

That sounds awful. You mean you broke your spinal vertebrae, or your ribs?

Speaking of back troubles, my friend got in a wreck a few weeks ago and knocked a disk out of place. It's so gnarly looking; he's got a lump in his mid-back that disturbs the eye. He's probably gonna have to have surgery within a few months.

Yeah PK, I have seen vids of it. I remember seeing Joe Theismann getting his leg broke while playing against the Giants. That was awful to see.

OMG that was horrible. The worst part was HEARING it. They miced the field up (worse than they do today; at least in the vid I saw) so you hear a resonating SNAP!! and that was the end of Theismann's NFL career.

You knew something was wrong when LC Green was motioning for the medics....and he was a Giant.

Well, let's see. I was about 4 bitten by a dog but the real question is how many times since then have I had stitches.
