I hope to God that it is staged. If not, then what is this world coming to? My brother told me about it. Said people were ****s who'd do anything for money. I suppose the initial episodes weren't that bad (but they were still pretty bad), because they were about the person playing. But the marriage one with that blonde chick was disgusting, that they would force a guy to be humiliated by his wife in front of million, but what can you do? I'm sad to say that even I got excited after hearing some of the questions. Good thing about being human, though, is that hypocrisy is excused. So, you said it was fake though, VT. Do you have any proof? Send a link if you can.

No proof, but if i truly believed that some generic person was so ruthless and callous that they would willingly do anything like that, then my brain would melt into a puddle.
Then I'd be on every show possible, starting with that one, and Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader.

At least Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader is emotionally harmless. Unless of course you are so embarrassed by a 10-year old answering a question that you couldn't that you shoot yourself in the face. That show is really just to poke fun at how people can't remember everything they learned as a child. There were things I couldn't answer and I'm 17.

If this show is true then I blame human nature unfortunately human nature states that we humans like to make other humans suffer or for that matter any other creature suffer. Whoever came up with that idea mustve been nuts.
i hate this show especially when it was FIRST aired by fox back in 2000 during its first run with the same host. Except there was no group of people only their significant other and they had no option to halt an question/answer like that. Instead their significant other who was getting hurt would just run off and they would then move on to the next "victims".
