Well I cancelled my notebook order and reordered a different version, this one has a Blu Ray drive, 4 instead of 3gb of DDR2, as well as a 320gb hdd as opposed to a 250. Comes with Vista 64 bit too, which im weary about, all my crap better work with it! Anyways, doesnt look as good as the other IMO but oh well. (Actually now im liking the black keyboard better)

hmm so pretty much now all future pc games will be released on blu-ray disks?

Nah, this isnt a gaming notebook or anything, its a "multimedia" notebook. Although I can def see PC gaming going over to BD's, but not until its standard, which will be a looooooong time from now.

I'm actually super pleasantly surprised with it. Very worth the buy. Only two things drive me mad. Not being able to walk through bushes for crap. And one of the boats is almost impossible to get out of.

Ok well its not really a purchase but a friend of my dad's gave me his old PC because he buys a new one every 2 years! So he said I could have his old one to do whatever the heck I want with.
I'll post some pics when I pick it up in a week or 2. This doesn't mean I won't still save up for my gaming rig because I am too far into that to stop, but it will mean that I will have my own PC to use until then am it'll be a test dummy for all my mad schemes for the custom rig...like Overclocking. I'm going to get some pracrice on it and if I cause a system meltdonwn and destroy the thing it'll at least be no loss on my part. And I'll have learned a valuable lesson. Don't do what I did to cause that meltdown!
Anyway its a full HP desktop. He told me he got that particular one in 2003 and its been standing unused for a while so I can have it. Because of the HP garunatee he has never opened the case. So all I know is its a Pentium 4,bought in 2003, still has a CRT screen and its mine! It'll be be the newest PC in my house o.O and possibly the best. I'll see when I pick it up.
