My house is point A and the tornado was spotted from the left point B to the right point B (moved farther than that of course, but those were spottings).

I had to stay in the bathroom with my brothers, aunt, and mom (Dad was at work). That was fun. Blink Razz

terrifying(ly awesome). I cant imagine how scary that must have been. The map doesnt have a scale, but Im assuming less than a half mile away right?

And just to cover all the bases are secure, no flying cows, no straws through trees, no old ladies on brooms and bicycles?

Enough with the joking, anyone seriously hurt?

Wooooow. It was closer than I thought. Rathert han bypassing us, as I thought earlier, I've recently found out that the tornado went OVER us! It was on the ground, skipped up to the sky above where I live, then came back down right afterward. It's crazy how close it was. Blink

Did the exact same thing at my church, where my Dad was. Only thing is was a lot lower, because my dad heard it. He was hiding under his desk in the office. Too Happy

If the tornados would have stayed on the ground, it wold have taken Dad out at church, and it would have taken my brothers, Mom, my aunt, and I out at our house. Craaaazy.

I had to take a different way to work today because they closed the road that I normally take, near the local airport. There's airplane debri all over the place! It even took stuff out of our yard. And right down the road from us, it tore up a house real good. Thankfully the family was safe though.

It's crazy stuff, but I get a huge thrill out of it. The scariest tornado story I have is when I was about 12 or 13. My mom, brothers, and I were here in Arkansas (Dad was still in the army at this point and stationed at South Korea). One night we woke up because it was hailing super bad, it sounded like our windows were going to bust. We all got into a room in the middle of the house and closed the doors. Our power went out, then we heard the tornado. The thing was so ginormous, it had over smaller tornados inside of it. Without a doubt, I thought it was gonna hit the house, but similarly to what just happened last night, the tornado skipped right over top of us. It was so loud though, scared me to death, I thought we were all gonna die.

It was exciting though, especially when it was over. Razz

Though I'd like a house with a basement. Angry

@boobiesphere. Great! John's gonna be here tomorrow and stay until Monday, you should join us. Big Grin Too Happy

Been there myself when I was 9 years old. Again when I was 32.

This was back in 70 when I was 9 living on Offutt AFB outside of Omaha Nebraska. My dad actually saw the tornado.

The 93 tornado apparently skipped over the house I was living in at the time too. I was listening in on a scanner to all the police reports of damage and they were all around where I lived, some as close as in the pic above.

A category-5 hurricane (we don't get that many tornadoes here) was really close to my house. And I think Katrina was supposed to hit here, too. I was praying all night that it wouldn't.

Glad you're alright, Mel Smile
