for every game i play im gunna try to make a wuick review of the game so you know if you shuld get it or not

Alone in the dark

Overview
im gunna tell you guys straight up,It's awful. It trys to do really cool new things but does it terribly. The controls are terribly sloppy, and your character feels as heavy as roseo donnel.The only good thing about this game is the fire, the fire is so superb i felt my room getting hotter cause of how awesome it looked. but that can't save this game. There are no moments of terror, you will not be scared once in this game, guarrenteed.

Gameplay
The new inventory screen was a great new idea, but was executed horribly. Do i really need to combine ammo and my gun just to reload it???? and while doing all this you can still be attacked cause the menu is in real time. The controls are so bad, just being able to take out your pistol is a huge hassle.

let me give you an example on how bad these puzzles are. I needed to jump down from a 3 foot ledge to get a fire hydrant and bring it back up to put out a fire. now, this hydrant could have been thrown over the ledge by a small infant but this game doesnt want you to do that! They wanted you to put it on a platform that looked exactly like regular ground and then go all the way over onto the ledge on the second floor and jump up and grab a rope to make the platform rise up fast and throw the hydrant to where you were. yeah i know it is ****ing stupid.


Also, your never alone in this game ( your always with someone), and it is never dark. so i am real confused by this game.

Graphics: 7 (fire be really awesome)
Gameplay: 2 ( this game isn't fun but terribly annoying)
sound: 6 ( the music is good, but the voice acting makes me want to punch an infant child)
Controls: 2 ( like carrying an elephant who doesnt mind to be eaten by zombies)

Overall: 3 (Terrible)

i do not reccomend this game, its a waste of your money if you rent or buy it. if you want a survival horror game, wait a few months for Dead Space. which may i say looks F***ing sweet!

I kept getting a glitch that when I was in FP view and I would pull out my flashlight with my gun equipped, I would unload an entire clip of ammo and there was no way to stop it. Needless to say, I went through a lot of fuel and bullets.

I didnt have the patience to even finish the game so I sent it back after 2 days. Renting really helps me out.

i know! it is such a broken game

Wow. I haven't paid any attention to this game or followed the development, but from the random adds I saw everywhere, I thought it would at least be decent...

Names that don't make sense: annoying and misleading!

Well Im not buying anymore besides everyone always told me it was crap.

My laptop I ordered is bundled with this game, so I might as well give it a go.
