I am going to be a little scarce over the summer. I am taking two summer courses and they are super intense. For example, in the one I'm taking now, classes started last Monday and yesterday we had our first paper due. Class was canceled today due to my prof having a dental appointment so I wanted to stop by.

There seems to be a new trend of having all successful games become films. I mean, I know movies based on games have been happening since Mario and Street Fighter, but video games are now more like interactive movies rather than "games". Story lines, famous actors etc. When you add to it that a lot of the games becoming novels and films are adult "M" rated games...this media convergence will continue.

Yeah, ive seen Die Hard 4 many time.
Im not much of a gears fan (as most of you know, im ps3 all the way ) but i think hes capable of making a faithful adaptation of what ive played of gears.
He sticks with a gritty, but over the top action scene (car as a rocket fired into a helicopter, etc). he needs to make the chainsaw kill awesome though

I agree that games are becoming more and more like movies, but id like to see them make MGS into a movie (even if it is already). Vote for longest movie ever made anyone?

No video game needs a movie; I think this is one of the worst trends going right now. However, that said, at least it's not Uwe Boll.

The Bioshock movie has the most potential I believe out of the upcoming unfortunate video game to movie adaptions.
