It could happen... Im sure almost all of you reading this have at one time or another tested out just how "invisible" you can be while hiding in a heavy contrast shadow draped in solid black. And im SURE some of you sneaky devils have figured out what I call the four S's of night time stealth (silence, stillness, silhouette, and simple observation). Paying attention to all four of these, im sure have provided some of you with that adrenalin rush you get when trying not to get caught. YOU KNOW you do it! observe areas where ever you are at night, checking for deep shadows and vertical pipes you could use to get on top of that target in your nehborhood. Dashing into a dark sliver of shadow before your friends see where you went, crouched in total stillness, hoody up, holding a smirk as their pupils dilate and constrict, struggling to make out familiar shapes that their brain recognizes as "people", wondering were the hell you went. You have effectively vanished. Now do it with a weapon and a agenda and your eather a crook, or... yep, you guessed it, a splinter cell. After discussing this with my buddy and long time client(im a tattoo artist) who just reacently finished 6 months of SQT after 6 months of B.U.D.S, I can tell you that this guy, my buddy, is physically capable of doing every thing you would expect of a splintercell. The training these guy's go through is extraordinary. While staying very modest, he has assured me that while he hasn't had to, he is capable of killing silently and with frightening efficiency. and whats more, The battle tested, and hardened Vets That he works with are of a different breed. Almost kind of a darkness inside them, contained by diligent training and a unmoving samurai like discipline. These guy's eat, sleep, dream and live the art of war.
I have to belive that with a 500 billion dollar defense budget and government funded company's like DARPA and private company's alike. their must be some "special" branch of weapons research and development that puts all kinds of stealth based tools in the hands of a small group of very capable and dedicated solders. And when I consider, just what kind of stealth based tools I/we can get our hands on in this consumer Mecca! the tech we get is most likely a good five to ten years behind what is being developed and tested in the shadowy corridors of the most notoriously war ... exceeding country in the world. I really do belive that Agency's like CIA, NSA have the means, the money, and the technology to make a highly trained individual nearly invisible. literally and figuratively.
Post a link to anything you can find that could be used or modified as a splinter cell tool.
The crazy little paranoid guy that lives in my hoody thinks that the versus mode in Chaos Theory hit a little to close to home for the guy's up in Virginia. And UBI was more or less told that the game needs to be more action based than tactical thinking and deception based... But thats just crazy talk

tell me you don't want to get one of these!! just figure out that whole instant super adhesive thing and we're set! some kind of honey comb type material that is collapsible, covered in adhesive would stick great. Tricky part I guess would be to rig some kind of low powered Co2 burst (potato gun style) Damn I wish I was smart. Hey kids Stay In school. Go be an Engineer. Art school is a sham (unless your a computer artist of some kind, big market for them) (don't want you Project Stealth guy's to think Ima hater)
Im confused..."total creep" thats a little harsh. your obviiosly offended by somthing Ive said, so sorry about that. anything specific? maybe you took my fasination of all things clandestine a little to seariously. Even If I could afford that crap, what would I do with it? (well id have a very secure property anyway)
Thank god Im not the only one! sneakiness and stealth is more of a survival tactic for some poeple than whatever Halo is getting at. The world gets allot scarier outside the comforts of high school and moms cooking dude. no offense, but seariously, You only get jumped and robbed on the way to your car late at night after work one time. After that you start to have a differnt perception of the world you thought was safe.
Yeah I love sneaking too but every time I wan't to do it or get a chance to it ends up being ruined...like 2 weeks ago a few friends and I were going to go to a park for a barbecue and then play a sort of stealth game involving "mercs" with powerfull torches in a certain zone they had to protect and then everyone else had to try sneak up and waterbomb them without being spotted. Only problem is it rained the whole day and night so we ended up not being able to do it.
