hey guys. so im thinking about buying a new graphics card for my computer. however, im not sure what is compatable with my motherboard (im fairly new to computer building)

my current graphics card is this:

http://www.misco.co.uk/applica...de=2&PriceInc=27.991

as you can see the pins are spaced in 3 even-ish sections. can you help me on 2 things:

1- what "code" spesifies those 3 eveny spaces sections of pins. so when looking for a new card i know what is compatable.

2- is there any good 512mb memory graphics cards out there which would fit my computer. (im on a tight-ish budget being a student at the moment so nothing to expensive, but i dont want a real crap one.)

ythanks

The best card for you at this time is this SAPPHIRE 100228L Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X HDCP Ready Video Card - Retail. You want one with at least a 256bit memory interface like the one I posted.

Your old one is AGP, so is the one suggested. It should fit, though you probably will need a free plug on one of your power supply cables for it.
