And by gig I mean written news article for the Michigan Times!
I'll give you a hint. It isn't my immature, freeloading, loathsome, tickle-happy, big-nosed, closet Satan worshiping brother.
Nay, mortals, it is I! Christopher William Jones! I am a contributing writer to the Michigan Times! I get paid 10 dollars for each article, until I turn in fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!
Then, it's nothing but minimum wage and ladder climbing from there on in!
John: OMG Christopher! I wish I was as cool as you. [jumps up and down until sedated].
Don't worry young lad, just eat your vegetables every day and then someday you'll be just like me!
Melonie: OMG Christopher! I wanna be like you too!

Well young lady, just take medical drugs until your sex change operation, undergo months of therapy and one day.....................uh....I mean, eat your veggies!
Seriously though, just sent in my first article. Did it all by myself. The interviewing, the quoting, the writing everything. When it was done I felt the same way I did when I was first writing Saint's Haven. It's like my heart was eating Smoothie Mix Skittles, and damn if that isn't the best feeling in the world!
And the best part is, my brother doesn't have one. Which means back to Ypsilanti for him! hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!

An upcoming novel by me.
Thanks Melonie for the sig!

Good going. Doesn't it feel nice to be earning some money?

Once you start making a regular wage, put $20 a week into a savings account and do not touch it. Then one day you will have money that can be put to good use.

You know it White Knight. The money really wasn't it for me. I've earned much more for doing far less since bribery is the only way anyone in my family babysits.
Just completed did it for me. Like I had grown five inches taller and ten inches longer.
BAM!
But yeah my mom is taking me to get a saving's account on Wednesday. I got about 400+ dollars from my Open House, and that'll all be going in there. Who knows? Maybe ten years later I'll be buying my first house with that same money...
BAM!

An upcoming novel by me.
Thanks Melonie for the sig!

See if you can join a credit union. They typically offer better services than a bank and better interest rates. Check around and don't join just any bank, especially with many banks failing (your deposit would be insured).

Congratulations! Now that you're famous, don't forget to use protection! Legal protection, that is. You don't want anyone getting rich off your writing without your consent, now do you?

And yes, credit unions are the shiz Big Grin

LOL!!! You silly. Razz

Congratulations, though!!!! I am so excited for you, for realz. I know how it is to be really passionate about something like that (art for me), and every little gig really makes you feel on top of the world. This looks great on your portfolio as well, so keep it up and you'll be writing for the big times. Big Grin Good job, you should be so proud. Glomp

That's probably what I'll be doing. It's pretty hard to trust any bank right now, so yeah the credit unions will probably be the route I'll take.
I honestly haven't been looking at any. Mom's probably just going to take me to hers. It's lazy, I know, but I'm still writing Saint's Haven, need every second with it I can get, and can't be bothered to look. I know that's the reasoning of a man looking forward to years living in a box, but that's what I had been thinking. It's garbage. I'm certain of it, yet all those I've shown it to still think it's good, so who knows?
