Hey guys

So I have a question. I was wondering if anyone gets the disc unreadable error as much as I do while playing GTA. I get it every time I play the game, at least once, and I'm not sure if it's the game or if it's my 360. None of my other games give me disc unreadable NEARLY as often as GTA does.

Anyone get it as much as I do?

I'm asking this just now because I was in the middle of a mission and it gave me the error when everything seemed to be running fine

Get a new disk, my friend has GTA4 and that never happens to him.

If this keeps up I just might have to So you think it's the disc and not my 360?

It is most certainly your disk if no other game has this problem, rent the game and see if the rented disk has similar malfunctions.

I've read on the Xbox forums that it sometimes means that your console is going to fry itself..hopefully its just your disc though

I just got it back from M$ a few months ago.

I possibly have a job soon though so I think my next purchase will be an elite.

Sounds like your 360's crapping out on you.

Had the same problem with Mass Effect, turned out to be the console. I sent it in and bought an Elite. Didn't cost a cent to get the console fixed. Now I have 2 360, one goes down no problem.

I have the same problem with Halo 2, I can't play the map Outskirts (which is actually my favorite campaign map). It always loads halfway and it goes "could not read disk".

Hayden_v is right mate, your console is about to explode but also that your disc is scratched as well

i know this cos i was playing GTA IV on my brother's 360 when it got a "Disc Read" error

when my brother tried playing it the next day, it wouldnt read the disc, so i tried it in my 360 and the disc wouldnt work either

THEN a few days later my brother's 360 literally blew up, smoke and everything

I keep my discs in mint condition
