I would also buy that to add in if you have a big enough LCD monitor.

Blu-rays(and HD-DVDs) look great on my 19" widescreen.

I will be using my old (4 years?) ViewSonic 19" CRT for now. I also have a thing against Blu-Ray and Sony.

Everything looks good, you wont be disappointed with the that Raptor, I have one and its amazing, fast as some solid state drives, also I have the 700w ver of that psu, again, you wont be disappointed. The only thing is personally im weary about Crucial, have had a lot of friends that had problems, dead sticks etc, but I guess its just the luck of the draw, just remember neweggs new RAM policy, no returns, but you can exchange so no big deal I guess.

John, I will not be building it myself this time. I am buying it from Falcon Northwest.

I have some Crucial RAM already and haven't had any problems with it.

Last fall when I tried to price out a new PC, I tried to find the parts for a Mach V on Newegg and they didn't have some of the parts I wanted.

They also have the quality and support I would want from a company I am spending money with. I have read of people who have had problems (when they have had hardware problems that is) getting the hardware replaced for free and more often than not, a new or more expensive part is the replacement. They come with a 3 year warranty. Can't beat that. Yes, I can build my own, but I do not have the hiding the cable talent that these guys have.

nVidia's new GPU will be marginally slower than the 285GTX, but cost a lot less. You might want to try that one.

I have a ViewSonic 22" Widescreen LCD monitor. It's sweet! I've also got a Blu-Ray drive in my new computer. No complaints there.

OK, here they are, pics of my new PC and goodies.

The box the PC comes in his huge at 36"x26"X17", but it has 2 inches of space around the sides of the PC and it sits between some strong polymer between the top and bottom pieces.

It also comes with a goodie box that includes a kit for the extra cables for the PSU from Silverstone. FN includes a portfolio with a pen that lights up, manuals for the hardware, driver disks for the hardware, Windows Vista Home Premium x64 disk, a print out of how well the PC tested out, adapters for the video card along with the SLi bridge, Falcon Fuel Coffee, a coffee cup, t-shirt and a hat.

I really like the wiring. It really is neat compared to what I have done, but now I can copy what they do. It scores a 5.9 (the highest) on the Vista preformance page.

Hmm, I really like their wiring as well. I think I'll open up my computer and see if I can replicate what they've done.

Can you spot the new peripheral?

When I first got the new PC, the CCFL wasn't working so after a bit of troubleshooting, FN sent me a new kit. As I was went to install it today, I found out that they forgot to install the power molex to the transformer. During that little operation to install it, I was wondering how to connect an IDE hard drive to the IDE cable and found that they use double sided foam tape to keep the cable attached to the motherboard tray. Very interesting in what they do.

After testing that the CCFL did in fact work, I also put the new tube in a different part of the case.

Are you keeping the stock Intel CPU cooler, WhiteNight77?

There are much more efficient and quieter models out there the one Intel ships with it's CPU's.

Just a thought. Otherwise, a nice set up Thumbs Up

I am keeping it for now and it is actually rather quiet really. That is with the stock cooler, 2 80mm fans and 1 120mm fan. I do want to see about a different one when I go the OC route though. Zalman has some killer coolers.

Nice rig, dude, it definitely gives a Falcon Punch compared to mine.

Ubisoft should take a look at this...

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
