Okay, so I have this really cool idea for a great stealth game but before I get to that I would like to say how I came up with it.

I recently purchased Resident Evil 5, it's a brilliant game, not exactly survival horror but a fun and tense third person shooter with absolutely gorgeous graphics. As far as African adventures go I thought it was way better then Far Cry 2, but that wouldn't be hard, because I didn't really like Far Cry 2.

Anyway, I was playing along and started thinking about the Kinshasa mission from SCDA, you the African one. It must have been all the sand because then I started thinking about Assassins Creed. And that's when it dawned on me: what do all these games have in common?

Bad-*** protagonists that are the best at what they do. Now don't get me wrong, this is a good thing. But Sam Fisher can easily take out any one who he wants to, they don't get to say no. Chris from Resi 5, he doesn't think twice about punching a zombie in the head with his bare hand, and Altiar can free-run better than the dude at the opening of Casino Royal and he can take on a dozen Templar Knights in a sword fight and win.

So here it is, a game were you aren't a highly trained and experienced government operative who infiltrated places for a living, yet you must use stealth to survive. You are not running because you are to lazy to stand and fight, you're running because if the thing behind you catches up it will rip you to shreds. And finally, you're not experienced with the paranormal but you must face it in order to see the next sunrise.

So your character is a real softy, probably a school girl, yes, a cheerleader, someone with good athletic capabilities and lots of determination. She wouldn't like to get her hands dirty and she would be very prone to screaming. You could even have moments when you must quickly press a button to make her hold the scream in so she doesn't alert what ever it is that's there.

Well I could ramble one for ever but I'm sure you get the point. It'd certainly be different, and I think it would be awesome.

Feel free to come up with anything that could make this game better. I'm hopping to make it, or at least something like it one day.

You know, when I wrote that I was looking at the character from a different angle. I want the protagonist of my game to be a likable and deep character that the player can get to know: cheers when she succeeds, feels bad when she dies, has a sense of humor, gets angry, sad happy, talks a lot, not like the Gorden Freemans of gaming, you know, the mysterious mute person who's expression never changes.

Nevertheless... acid, fire, grabby baddies, a need for a shower, all good reason to remove clothing. Maybe mini games, when a bad guy grabs her, screw it up and she keeps her cloths, succeed and she tears free from them and escapes. Wait, that was supposed to be the other way... to late. Big Grin

But from a more critical prospective, I think nudity/sexual content has been mostly avoided in video games because it has certain repercussions with the press and ratings. Maybe we could just settle for some hot cut-scenes and some sexy outfits.

LOL, I totally forgot about Raiden. He's gotta be the ultimate sheman. Hey, a while ago I was talking with a couple of friends about games that have been adapted to movies, and we all agreed that if there was ever a Metal Gear Movie Keira Knightley would be perfect for Raiden.

But, no, the protagonist of my game would not be a whiner, can't stand whining. Not mentally confused or idiotic. She'd be smart-mouthed, witty, think she's tough but actually not, very physically capable allowing the game to have great athletic controls, similar to AC, but play a lesser role in the game and be more realistic. Pretty much, I want my protagonist to be a likable character, like someone you could know from school or work but just like you would be, she's very vulnerable in this situation, hence this would be a survival/horror/stealth game, the first of its kind.

She wouldn't be a stealth protagonist like Sam Fisher, "This is your mission soldier, complete it undetected." No, the stealth in the game would come from the creatures your up against, say there's some that have no sight, but hear exceptionally well. You'd have to crawl through the area, the gameplay would allow you to smoothly place your steps so you don't step on broken glass or dead leaves, but if you are detected you use the games great free running system to escape. This would be harrowing, cause if you'd seen some of the creature designs I've thought up and the sounds they would make, well, to have one running after you would be some scary sh*t.

Other enemies wouldn't hear very well but see everything, even through thin objects, there could be a red glow that shows there LOS and you have to use all means possible to stay out of it. Of cause there would be action segments in the game, I could just have running and sneaking, it'd be very diverse and fun.

Like I said, a different stealth game.
