I can't find any missions to do Air refueling...

Practice with Air refueling, IRONHAND's LOMAC website: flankertraining.com , has a good tutorial for both the western style refueling and the russian "Drogue and basket" type.

Use the ME (Mission Editor) to make your own. It is not so tough to do, just make sure you choose the correct match of tanker and recipient. Choice of three,
IL-76 and Su-33
KC-10 and F-15
KC-10 and A-10

Set the tanker TASK to refuelling, give it a couple of waypoints a good distance apart eg 100miles, set the 1st waypoint to be BeginLoop and the 2nd waypoint to be EndLoop. The tanker will fly this loop endlessly until it runs out of fuel or they have snowball fights in Hell, whichever comes first. Give the tanker a sensible height and speed. If you are in the A-10, you want the tanker at a height and speed that your A-10 can get to itself!!

I would recommend adding a friendly AWACS into the mision too, and you can ask him for a vector to the tanker using the radio command menu.


This mission has Su-33's refuelling from an IL-76 tanker.

Don't let it being from the French Lockon Community put you off, it is a nice long range mission.
