should i get a ATI radeo x1300 or nvidi geforce fx5200?? plz help me

2 questions
1) do you have a PCI-E or AGP slot?
2) how much would you be paying for one of those two cards?

Of course you should get Radeon X1300! This card is four to eight times faster according to various benchmarks. In fact you can't play LO smoothly with FX-5200 at all. Even X1300 secures you good frame-rate only at medium level graphic settings.

Anyway I think the acceptable video cards for LO:FC begin at GF-6600GT/7300GT/8600GS or Radeon-9800/X800/X1300XT levels. Nothing below that!

1) i have PCI

2) i will be willing to pay up to 170 for any vid card

if you have any more suggestions for what i should get just let me know, (for prices i used www.tigerdirect.com)

sorry for the double posts. Eustachy I looked up all of those cards and they were PCIe I have PCI so your saying my best choice would be the ATI Radeon x1300?

If you don't have enough money for GF-7300GT/7600GT/8800GS or Radeon-X1300XT/1600XT/X1950XT so grab basic Radeon X1300. It is a lot better than FX-5200!

PS. If you can spend up to 170 bucks on video card I recommend you the following one:

honestly i'm not sure you're gonna get anything worth **** out of standard PCI. it would probably be more cost effective to save the money toward a new computer altogether.

Of course it only depends on whether he has enough time and money needed...

However in his current situation nothing more interesting isn't accessible for 170 bucks.

ok then if you must, the 1300 is your best option.

Yes, even set at bit higher than lowest details. Something between default LOW and MEDIUM settings will be possible, I suppose.
