You use your radar emission detection equipment. Real pilots can't always see the missile coming at them either..

I found the way to see incomig missile.Press 2,turn on radar by I.On the MFD you will see missile as very small dot.You can set radar at 32 or 64 with no problem.

So wait a second, It is then possible to see an incoming missile on say the HDD when set to 16 or 32 km range?????

I have not been able to see one :/ but when i went to customize my own map, i went all random settings and at one point i could actually see incoming missiles as little diamonds... how is that so?

Thanks

You can see certain missiles as small dots on your HDD if you have an AWACS in the mission. It is sending you the data to do that.

I have seen cruise missiles shown that way, cant recall seeing air to air missiles shown that way.

I have a mission I made for fun where I'm in an Su-33 and have to knock down some cruise missiles before they hit my carrier. I have an A-50 AWACS in the mission so I can see where the missiles are.

Do you mean you were using the F10 view of the map? On that F10 view of the map you will see all missiles as small diamonds.
