I have vanilla LOMAC 1.02 and I can play for a little while, but after about 10-20 minutes of playing I get a CTD with no error message.

My specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2
GeForce 8600 with updated drivers
Sound Blaster Audigy SE with updated drivers
4 GB RAM
180ish GB HD space
ASUS M2N-E board

My error file from the temp folder:

Oops sorry, XP 64 bit. I'm logged on as the admin account, does that mean I'm running it as admin?

Nope- you right click the desktop icon, select properties, compatiility tab, check compatibility mode for xp, and check the run as admin box.

Not sure that this applies to XP.. even 64 bit.

There's no option to run as admin. The closest thing is a "Allow non administrators to run this program" box.

Not surprised. AFAIK all this only became critical starting with the Vista OS.

What should I do about the crashes then? Is it something to do with my DirectX or graphics, or something else?

Sadly- there are many possibilities. Here's a few off the top of my head..

Turn off all unnecessary programs running in the background. Almost every piece of software you install sets itself up to run all the time. Adobe readers, IM's, Apple/quicktime,

Norton antivirus (and others) was notorious for crashing early versions of LOMAC..

Make sure LOMAC and your desktop rez is the same..

Turn off full shadows, heat blur. Full shadows are screwed- Heat blur is a HUGE load with basically no benefit unless you are REALLY into screenshots/ movie making.

Not sure what happened, but now it won't even load a mission. I rolled back my drivers then updated them again, also installed the AMD dual core optimizer, and now this.

I give up. This POS is going in the trash.
