i think the default cockpit fov (field of view) is too small. So I thanged my snapviews.lua. Now I have the fov I want, but only if i don't use my TrackIR. If I use it i get that crappy low fov. How can i fix that?
Did u ever get an answer to this question. I have the same issue. Is there a way to set the default view to a more zoomed out FOV? so TIR will use that as a default? I guess u could disable the 6DOF bit in TIR so u could zoom in & out....
i don't recall reading that you can - but maybe someone else more knowledgable will be along with a more definitive answer.
To be honest, I dont find this much of an issue. I start Lockon and once I'm in the cockpit then I zoom my view in or out to where I want it - that takes about 1/2 a second. Ive got a hat on my stick set to view zoom in / out.
I'm constantly zooming my view in and out as I fly around, coupled with looking around with the TrackIR. I do it almost subconciously.

That's what I do, like BRD said I like around a lot.
