Hi guys,
First, I am new in LOMAC and I am not a pilot, so learning this have been a little bit complicated. (everything going good though) Anyways, I have a question... I finish up mission and select ILS navigation system to land but I am facing a problem... I am unable to return to the assigned course! I recorded a track file with the problem, just put the track speed fast to jump to the landing part (I am not that good yet...*smiles*) and see the HSI. Here is the track: Problem.trk See how i try to catch the course but fail miserably and I am not sure why, even though im pointing to the correct heading the course line is pointing to the opposite side all the time. At the end im always forced to make a visual landing which is especially problematic during night or bad weather operations... Can you please help me with that? Thanks in advance guys! |

It has been a few years since I flew the A-10 ----but going back and checking some of my old missions that I created I confirmed to myself that in the A-10 you musr add a extra waypoint to line up with the runway.
In your mission you would need a waypoint #4 that is designated as a turning point. And this waypoint should be located between the end of the runwway and waypoint 3. This would allow you to line up with the runway because both 3 and 4 are in line with the runway. You would turn on 3 toward 4 and you would then be on line with the runway. For your waypoint 4 to be a landing waypoint it doesn't show up in the HUD. Thats my best answer and it could be all wrong but it will work. |
