Vista 64 is actually really stable, more so than Xp 64. Im going to load a lot of ram on this thing...I can probably go further than 8gbs ram just on the motherboard alone, notwithstanding the I-RAM I am looking at installing soon. I dont think XP can handle that much ram...

Little update:
8gb of DDR-800 ram instead of 4, a 24" LCD w/5ms response time, and going to choose the PSU to a 1200w thermaltake, along with another 250bg SATA and loading this pig up with I-RAM. My budget got another 400 bucks to toss into if I so wanted to max this thing out. Pure bliss is what I am expecting. If you intend on eating lead paint chips, bring salsa. |

That brand caught me off guard. On my last build I found a great price on a Rosewill. I was a bit uneasy about ordering it because I had never heard of it and I got it for a steal. Very spartan packaging, but the unit just oozes quality (and that is what matters). I was amazed. That company has my money from here on out.  |

yea, i've never seen anything but fantastic reviews (or idiots who somehow got ahold of the internet) for rosewill.
the last PSU i got was like this too, some tiny unknown company called athena power. i'm not sure they are even still around. 500w with some rediculously high amps (51 on 5v i'm thinking, don't have the specs on hand), for a mere $50. never hiccupped on me once overclocking the balls off my cpu, ram and vid card. i don't think athena power is still around though. probably bought out by one of the giants. shame. |

Stick to XP dude, and maybe try Vista in 2 or 3 years. Maybe stable yes, but it can easily be so stable you cant do f**k all.
(I so love that vista asks everything and request confirmation about everything every ten seconds  ) |
