What's the difference between open missions and the campaign? Also I've just finished the training missions and have a few questions.
1) How do you complete missions? Do you just exit when you feel like it or do you have to kill all the enemies and then land? 2) How do I choose my fighter's weapons when I start a mission? 3) Is it possible to "restock" on weapons and fuel if you go out and fight and then come back and land on the airstrip? |

1.)yes you just exit, but I like to land first then exit.
2.)Yes, in the mission editor screen thingy 3.) Yes you can land and restock your weapons and fuel. Once you land just press ctrl+W to restock weapons INCLUDING fuel tanks. To refuel press ctrl+R and HOLD IT. __________________________ "Life is meaningless and absent of thorough enjoyment unless there is a scale by which to measure its worth. This game comes with a manual, you know...Youll have a better understanding of what your aircraft can do if you read your key commands document and follow it up with the complete game manual found on the cd.

I thought a forum was meant for asking questions. I think it's a lot easier for me to ask these specific questions here instead of searching through tons of lines of text in the manual. I just got this game, it's not like I'm some pro who knows everything about it |

Question for you Alexreyy: which version do you have? If you just have LOMAC v1.02, look in the Eagle dynamics folder Lock On and open Docs. There is a keyboard commands list, which a bit more uptodate than the manual on the CD.
Dont take everything personal either: Hitman is right. Manual study is near damn compulsary to fly LOMAC. It took me a quite a bit of study to learn to use the radar and BVR Combat. |

How is it easier to ask questions that can be answered by yourself in a faster time? You can research this yourself and find the information you are looking for in a more in-depth manner than this forum can provide. Everyone here (us old farts) HAVE read the manual, and some of us STILL read the manual, including myself. Its a lot more tedious to ask questions and have someone else research the answer for you when you can do it yourself. This forum is here to provide help to those who need assistance. The mouse cockpit question you asked gets asked every week. Asking how to fire weapons is asked at least 2 times a week, and I get tired of seeing these dumb questions here all the time. Questions about tactics, help with online issues or other stuff get answered by the pro's of this community because everyone has their own way of instructions. I do a2g pretty exclusive, I wont teach anyone fundamentals of a2a if I dont know it, but I CAN refer you to someone who does. What I wont do is keep repeating myself, and others get tired of doing the same thing as well. If you think its a much asked question, chances are it is. Research is the key, and you wont find anything if you dont look for it. R.I.P George Carlin: You knew how to make me laugh |

Um...If he's like me, and bought his game at walmart, his should not come with a manuel. Mine didn't. But still you can either download the manuel or just read the read-me's that come with the game. And Hitman, alexreyy is a new guy to our forums, so make him feel welcome don't give him (or her) all sorts of ****.

1) Most of us tend to land back at base if we can, as that increases the realism factor, but if you have completed the mission goals (the mission brief is likely to tell you what they are) then you can quit in mid-air to speed things up if you wish. 2) Well the mission is already set up with weapons as designed by the mission designer. Those should be enough and the correct type of weapons for you to complete the mission. Some missions can be trivially easy if you replace the loadout with what you prefer. Some missions might be simulating the shortage of particular weapons (eg AGM-65D) at your airbase. A mission where you are armed with 6 * AGM-65D might be boringly easy. The same mission with only your cannon and 4 * Mk-82 bombs might be quite a bit more exciting and dangerous. 3) Someone else has already told you how to rearm and refuel. Make sure you have landing nd come to a complete stop before using these commands. They are the same commands that (whilst in the air) also jettison your weapons and dump fuel The rearm will only replace what weapon loadout you had previously, you cannot change to a different loadout. The refuel is a little more flexible, you refuel only as long as you hold the refuel command. You can hear the fuel being loaded, and you can watch the fuel guages show the increase, so if you think you only need half a fuel load, then stop refueling when you have enough. Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum.... |
