That would be too easy (assuming you're referring to the long-range ARMs you can carry). Much more fun in an A-10.

I really prefer the su-25t as you can attack different ground units at the same time using a variety of weapons and systems on the aircraft, and i dont know why really but it feels more relistic, i guess when black shark is out ill prefer the KA-50 Big Grin.
by the way when is it coming out and will therebe an Apache to fly?

Between the two AFM aircraft, I prefer the Su-25 myself. The feeling of flight is much better than in the SFM A-10 with both the Su-25 and Su-25T. I get much better frame rates with the A-10, though.

Black Shark will be released, um, when it's ready. Smile As for the Apache, we'll just have to wait and see.

Ok so i made another Ground attack mission this time a bit easier and using the Su-25.

All went fine, a perfect SEAD mission.

Just have a few questions.

I used the SEAD Payload of the Su-25. He has those neat Kh-25Mp Anti-radar missiles.

I didnt know exactly how they work but after using them i believe they aim theirselves at the nearest radar beacon right?

Anyhow they have nice range for the kind of target i was fighting (USA Hawk Site) however... they seemed to miss alot.. First time i tried the mission i shot the 4 i had and all of them hit the same place.... a few meters to the side of the radar.

So i had to blow the radar with my rocket pod on a sneak attack using the mountains.

Second time i did the mission i got the radar with the second KH-25 (the first hit the same place on the screenshot above).
So... how exactly does the Kh-25 work and should we trust them that much?

Anyhow heres me at the end of the mission ready to catch my Jeep to the nearest Disco Party =PP

You forgot to load the Phantasmagoria Pod.

From the 1.1 manual page 9

To engage air defense radars, the Su-25T can be equipped with the target designation pod “Viyuga”
or “Phantasmagoria” target designation pods. This allows the Su-25T to designate targets
for anti-radar missiles such as the Kh-58 and Kh-25MPU.

Using the Fantasmagoria pod is like using the radar...its like a radar reciever that identifies the type of radar painting your aircraft and gives you a targeting diamond on the HUD. You slew a targeting box over the diamond and lock it, launch and leave. Easy in the 25T.

Oh, i didnt mention.
Thats not the Su-25T and its Lock-on Version 1.02.

So theres no Phantasmagoria thingie for me. However teh Kh-25 Mp did lock and was launched without problem. However he missed by a few meters, maybe thats normal.

yeah those missiles miss sometimes. but arent those the ones that you have to keep the target locked through the whole flight of the missile?

I believe they are Fire-and-Forget. You lock, fire and get the hell out. The missile guides himself to the target.
