1)Signature files. They should be 500x150 pixels in size and no more than 40kb in size. Improper sized sigs will be removed by the moderators. Repeat violators will get an official warning.

2)Posting pictures. The forum software formats around the largest picture in the thread. Since a very large picture will stretch the forum past your desktop and the text with it, you will have to scroll to read every line.
Therefore please only directly link pictures 800x600 and smaller. If you wish to post a larger picture, please post a link to it. Larger pictures directly posted will be removed and linked by the moderators. Repeat violators will get an official warning.

3)The Internet is an global medium and the forum an international meeting place of people who share their enjoyment of our hobby. As such there is a wide variety of cultures and political views. This is not a place to discuss politics or current world events. Past experiences have shown that discussions of these natures bring out the emotions and passions of forum goers. This is not the place to discuss these things. If you feel the need to discuss these topics please find a more appropriate forum that caters towards these discussions. Political and current event threads will be removed by moderators and the posters warned.

4)This forum is a meeting place that includes the producers, developers of LOMAC, beta testers and other representatives of the the simulation. They are very passionate about the sim and want to make it better. They welcome feedback good and bad. They do not shy away from constructive criticism. At the same time they do not need to be harassed. Please show them and their product the respect it deserves. Mature, throught out criticism will be welcomed.

With this in mind attacking them or the simulation will not be tolerated. Posts full of insults and derogatory language will be removed and the posters warned. This is not a customer service avenue to Ubisoft. If you wish to contact Ubisoft because this product fails your expectations please contact Ubisoft directly: http://support.ubi.com/

5) The moderators are here to help and we do listen to your concerns. If you have a concern about another forum member please don't hesitate to contact us.

If you have a concern about moderation on this forum or with a moderator we encourage to contact the moderator directly in a private topic and discuss the issue. If you don't feel comfortable contact the moderator directly you can contact another moderator with your concerns or the community manager, Thunak.

Public postings with your concerns will be removed. That is not the way to solve a problem.

6)Personal attacks against another forum members will not be tolerated. The post will be removed and the poster warned. Vicious attacks or racist/genocidal comments against a forum member or his ethnic/social background will be a bannable offense with no warning.

7)Any illegal activities such as posting warez links or links to hacks/cracks deemed inappropriate by Ubisoft (that includes no-cd patches) will be removed and the poster warned/banned depending on the severity of the offense. We understand the gray area involved around copyright, but this is UniSoft's private forum and we will respect their wishes.

CHEAT TOPICS

This forum is a meeting place for everyone. It will not turn into a he said, she said environment with people tossing cheat accusations back and forth.

You think someone is a cheat? Fine, don't fly with them. Tell your squadmates on your webpage, etc, but do not start threads here, or add to discussions accusing anyone of cheating.

The problem is taht the internet is too anonymous. People can log into a server with any name they want. Screenshots in other games have been doctored in the past, I've even seen chat logs created to frame people.

For that reason the official forums will not be used as a springboard to single out members or squads.

If you post an accusation it will be removed and you will be warned. Continue the disruptive behaviour and you will be delt with more severly.

Am starting this now before it gets out of hand.

PIRACY

It is very clear. There is zero tolerance for picacy on this forum. This a community based on the shared enjoyment of flying flight sims and there is no room for people that will destroy the community with talk of piracy. This includes cracks and hacks. Asking for or providing links/directions of whre to get them is an instant ban, no questions asked.

It has always been zero tolerance for picacy, that includes asking for warez, posting warez links or saying you are going to pirate the game. Such illegal activity strikes at the heart of our hobby and is a danger to it, therefore it is not welcome here. Period. We will not get caught up in the grey area trying to decide if someone is joking about it or not. The rules on piracy and warez are black and white.

This is not open to discussion. This is a private forum and these are it's rules. Even if you do not agree with them, you will respect them while you are here. If you cannot follow them then the Usenet is proabably a better place for you.

Here's a recent issue 2007 Update:

- If there's issue with any other party, whether it's a company, or individual, handle your business with them. This is a forum for the discussion of a flight simulator, not a he said, she said, or did, environment. If you have an issue, you need to address the parties concerned with them, not any moderators, community managers, etc. Drama is not part of this forum, nor should be, and will not be tolerated. Take it to PM, that's what the facility is for, not for you to whine and moan, regardless of who is right, or who is wrong. Further warnings will include locking of topics, as well as banning. It's about comraderie, not politics or drama.
