im wondering for a whole time how can i make the F-16 Fighting Falcon Fly-able in Lock On? Its my favourite aircraft and i hate it that i cant fly the F-16 in Lock On.

Someone knows a patch or something so i do can fly the F-16 in Lock On?

The short answer is that you can't.

If you have the Flaming Cliffs (FC) payware add-on, then the Devs added a facility whereby you can edit the MEInit.xml file and change humancockpit = No to = Yes for any of the AI aircraft to make them flyable.
HOWEVER the cockpit will be a default Su-27 cockpit, the flight model will be an odd mix of the Su-27 and the AI aircraft. Particularly noticable with small aircraft (eg F-5) where it will fly like a rocket sled or large aircraft (eg Tu-95) which will fly like a brick.

Really designed for taking screenshots, silly fun, and for movie makers so they can fly the AI themselves to get the perfect movie shot.


If you have the standard Lockon v1.02, the technique described above WILL NOT WORK. The aircraft will be uncontrollable. The code that allows this Mod to work was only added in FC.

What you can do if you have Lockon v1.02 is download a Mod that will make the flyable F-15 aircraft look like an F-16. But that is only from the outside view. The cockpit is still an F-15 and it will have the flight characteristics of an F-15. The F-16 Mod was made by a guy called USMarine and you can get it from the JaBoG32 site, link below...

Again nice for making movies or screenshots, but that's about it.

Vekku, you do know there is a game made around the F-16? Its called Falcon 4.0.
