Hi, I have LOMAC for a few mounts now. Now I feel ready for a network game but....
1.My joystick (Top Gun Afterburner 2) doesn't respond (in single player it works)
2. My engines are off(in flaming clifs there is a key for engines - WinR+Home or End) but here I can't even start.
3.I can't chat - I hit the chat button and nothing but I can see other players conversation.
4.I tried to play in hyperlobby but all servers are red-high ping - but my Internet connection is good.

I think I did everything right - Uninstalled the game, installed the 1.00-1.02 update, changed the multiplayer modem speed setting to 128kbs...

I will appreciate any help.

Are you actually sitting in a cockpit when this occurs? It sounds to me like you have joined the server as a spectator.

Don't worry about the red bars. Hold you nmouse over the connection bars, red or green and check your ping rate. Anything under 200 is good.

Wait a minute.. you're on version 1.02? You were lucky to even get into a room & see chat. You must have joined a rarely-seen 1.02 server.

My opinion still stands- I think you joined a 1.02 server as a spectator.

If you don't have version 1.12b you wouldn't even be able to connect to 99.999% of HL servers...

ok I'm completely confused now because initially my installation was 1.12b and than I saw in the forums that I need 1.02...but still with 1.12b i was unable to join both ubi.soft and hyperlobby also the ping was "timeout". I dont have the best Internet connection but 4Mb/s is not enough?

Ok I will reinstall and update to 1.12b...

oh yes, and I was sitting in my cockpit, also I was able to use some options like illuminating the controls, changing views, I saw my nick there...maybe the server was v.1.02....the same thing happened when I tried to enter other servers.

hmm something's up here. It makes no sense that a stick works normally in single player and not multiplayer.

Do the singleplayer missions start you off in the air? If so- either edit or make a mission where you enter parked on the tarmac- engines off- and must taxi to a runway. You need to compare these situations apples & apples to isolate where exactly the problem is. Your control surfaces typically will not work until your engines are up & running or at a certain point in the spooling cycle.

Have you changed any keyboard commands? Are you using someone else's stick profile? Sticks do not quit working just because you are online.

Everything is ok now, I changed some controls here and there and the problem is solved...but still I cant enter Hyperlobby all servers are - timeout.
Anyway I will play in ubi.com only.
